    White galabiya ala Fifi?

Does anyone know where I'd be able to find a white galabiya like Fifi wears? Any links would be appreciated! Thanks

Andrea2 here on Bhuz (NeeNee's Imports here in St. Louis) had some, very inexpensively. You can PM her here.

Aida Nour sells them. If she is doing a workshop in your area soon you may be able to pick one up.

Little Egypt sells them--if there aren't any posted on her website, email her and ask.

I have both a white one and a sort of fuscia/dusty rose one.

The white one is actually a man's dress gallibaya that I bought on EBay from an Arabic clothing men's shop in Oman. It is soft cotton/poly with a lovely drape and finish, machine washable, very comfy and has pockets. Cost me about $45 plus $15 shipping.

The rose one came from Little Egypt. It is a woman's garment made to look like the man's gallibaya. Polyester, silky fabric. I have hand washed it. It has a slightly shiny finish to it. I think it cost around $100 plus shipping from Texas.

There are photos of me dancing in both of them in my gallery here on Bhuz.

Thanks ladies - I'm definitely looking for the simpler ones or the mens galabiyas

He is still selling them on Ebay. Here is a link: SAUDI ARABIA DRESS 58" LONG arabian arab thoub thobe - eBay (item 400051388387 end time May-29-09 10:39:50 PDT)

He has them in different lengths. The one above is 58". You can easily hem them but you are going to pull some of the length up anyway with a hip scarf. I added one darts front and back to add a little more shaping to it. This is exactly the one I have.

It has a long placket in the front with hidden buttons. I just don't button the placket. And I roll the sleeves up. Cheap and nice.
