Experience with Clear Strap Eman Costumes?
Have any of you had experience with clear strap Eman costumes? Are they easily adjustable? Do they stay once adjusted? Do the straps get dirty? Please share your experiences, or let me know if this is a "buyer beware"...
Thanks!

Re: Experience with Clear Strap Eman Costumes?
I have a clear costume from a designer from Alexandria, not an Eman, but the material is the same.
It's not discolored. It was easy to adjust. I was afraid sewing into it would weaken it, but not so at all.
Mine only has a clear neck strap, not clear back strap. I personally wouldn't go for one that has both clear neck and back. They DO slide a bit when you get sweaty and I would worry.

Re: Experience with Clear Strap Eman Costumes?
I tried on a few when Mohamed Shahin came to NY a few weeks ago. They feel rather sturdy and if you have the figure they look lovely, but the plastic ends cut into my skin (the top wasn't too tight it was just the curvature of the strap) leaving unsighty red marks.
I agree with Samira having a clear neck and back strap is a bit much.

I was wondering also. I mean what happens when those straps wear out. What would you do? Especially when the prices are so high. They look gorgeous though.

I used this on my Meleya dress to help hold up the side of the top without a shoulder. Cheap, strong and works like a charm: Clear Elastic 1/4 Inch Width Cut Yards

Laura, how easy is it to sew through that stuff by hand?
I almost got some the other day for a project, but I don't have a sewing machine and don't want to kill my fingers!
