Thread: Bella: does she ever duplicate a costume?

I have this beautiful one I'm in love with, but it doesn't fit. I'd love to have an exact copy in my size...

All designers duplicate. I bet she'd make one exactly like it if you wanted. In fact I was thinking about this issue because sometimes my clients ask me specifically not to duplicate. I was thinking of charging a small fee to break the mold so to speak so that their costume will be the only one forever and ever.

Bella will make a copy of it for you. She might do the beading *slightly* different, but for the most part it'll be a duplicate if that's what you request.

oh that's good to know! i have one i bought here on bhuz that's just a tad too short on me.

I had asked her to duplicate a costume with my first order. She said she won't do exactly the same, but it will be very similar. She seems really big on making one-of-a-kind, even if it's just a color change.

But what is possible: Bella can change Your costume for You! But it's necessary to go to istanbul and You get it changed for You in 2 days....

Really, I just need the skirt re-made, the bra is perfect. I wonder if that would be an option... I really do want an exact copy, and I don't think the skirt could even be altered without destroying it. I wonder if she'd just re-make the skirt *exactly*, knowing that there is still only one complete costume like it...

This is good to know. I am going to Turkey in August and I have a Bella I need a skirt fixed on. Should I send an email first?

I've seen lots of posts about Bella costumes, but can't find a site on line to look at them. Can anyone post a link, please?

Costumes can vary in price between $650 and up to over $1000. All depends on Bling factor-cutouts material etc...

650 minimum? What about the price she shows on her website...? One is only 258 EURO I think... (0501). Does she change the price when you order?

Oh-looks like you can get some models for less than $650-my mistake :) I know that custom orders tend to cost a bit more. I sent Bella pics and a description of what I wanted and I got an email asking if $850 was ok. I guess that was to gauge the amount of beading and bling. It varies so much! Ive only done one custom order so I guess I cant advise you much-there are some serious Bella addicts out there though that have lots of experience ordering from Bella-I actually havent heard of any bad ones yet.

your mileage may vary, but I wanted bella to duplicate a costume I bought from her 15 years ago that no longer fits. I took detailed photos, and even told her I was willing to spend a LOT of money on it.

when the costume was done, the bid she gave me was under $400. it's a cute costume but nothing at all like the pictures I sent her, and not even the same colors (old costume was irridescent black with cobalt blue, gold and green - new costume was plain black and only green beading)!

so, I'm still dreaming of my old costume, but I do have a very cute costume instead that I like just fine. and you can't beat that price! but I thought it was odd, when so many of my other friends would order a costume and not specify a budget and then would get quotes in the $800-900 range.

(I also have two other models from bella's custom order page. they are identical to the ones in the photos on the website - in colors I chose - and are of excellent value for the price, IMO.)

I was informed 6 weeks :) I have 2 weeks to go in anticipation for mine. That doesnt take into account shipping though :)

I just ordered custom and it took 6 weeks, almost exactly! It should be here this week :) So excited to see what she created!!
