Sorry, no time to go through all of these, but have you looked at some of Cassandra Shore's old photos on FB? Tons of great vintagey pics. Most, I believe she made herself. : )

Oh sweet! I love that skirt!

She should NOT have her crotch to the audience in a skirt like that though.

Wow, what a GREAT use of stripes. I'd love to know how that skirt is constructed.

It's the same fabric as the veil, made into a circle skirt. Straight lines aren't radial when you cut out semicircles, and they sew into that up-and-down effect by default. Assuming she's holding the veil along the selvage edge, it looks like the stripes are perpendicular to the lengthwise grain of the fabric.

Thank you for resurrecting this thread- days of entertainment, I tell you!
2 more costume ideas (for all that sewing time I have- ha!)
and I SO want a half circle veil with a ruffle now. I may even need one. See, I wouldn't have known I need one if you hadn't resurrected this thread. Sigh.

This is apparently the bedlah that Nadia Gamal wore on the Legend DVD, except the fringe has been replaced with the more colorful paillette fringe. The owner is willing to sell it, and I'm this close to buying it myself, but I think it needs somebody a little more busty than me to pull off that style bra. She posted some measurements and details here:

So one of you guys buy it and save me from something I will want only because it was Nadia's (and not necessarily because it will fit me).

Here's one of my favorite of Aida Al Adawi:

She has quite a bit more on her Facebook page if anyone wants to see.
