Thread: where can i find mermaid skirts like this?

where can i get skirts like this? i'm looking for specifically red and i know neckelmann's carries them but they don't have red up :( i've heard them referred to as 'brazilian' skirts before

I've been trying to solve this mystery for the longest time!

The only ones I have are made by Brazilian designer Tony & Robbie. I lucked out and got 'em on the Swap Meet. But judging by what I've heard, unless you speak Portuguese or have a friend who can, you're pretty much SOL.

i remember seeing some of those a while back... hmm. if i come across it again i'll let ya know...

oooo i speak portuguese and i have a boyfriend that does in case i blank out on a word! yay! lol

so i have to contact them directly in brazil? dang, i should've asked my bf's mom who just came in on friday to get me a skirt like that lol
where can i contact them? i'll double check with necklemann's cuz that's more "local" to see if maybe they're holding out on me lol

They are neckelmann's skirts originally.

The costumes, new, typically cost as much as a Sim or a Pharaonics (in the $700 range).

Not sure how much the skirts run...hmmm...

I bought the exact same one that you posted (white) several years ago from neckelmans...not sure if thats how you spell it...but they probably still sell them there...play with the spelling and google them.

yep they sell a bunch, just not in any colors i need :(

i contacted them tho to see if maybe they have some in stock that aren't on their website. if not, hopefully they do custom orders for skirts only cuz i'm thinking that would be cheaper since they're in FL too..getting it from brazil might just end up being reallly expensive cuz of the shipping costs and whatnot...that is, if they even make the skirt alone.

Reviving this zombie thread because I'm looking for skirts like this, maybe in purple or orange...

I have a gold one I'd give up, because after I acquired it I got more into the loose, multi-layered look like Ansuya often wears. There is nothing wrong with the gold skirt; I never wore it.

You might want to try calling Neckelmann's and see if they have any in. They used to carry these.

Yes, that's where I got my red one. But it's been years since they offered them. Threads like this one have been popping up for three years now!
