Re: Are there any pretty, flat-sole shoes out there?
Oh, I have five pairs of Tina's shoes. I love them to bits, want more, and can attest to how excellent they are! At the same time, as far as I know, the lowest heel that they offer on dance-wear.net is a 1.2" heel. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!) Celebrity offers a .5" heel, which is essentially flat. It is what I need for those costumes on the Swap Meet that I fell in love with but are borderline too short for me; they'd be too short and silly-looking on me if I wore them with any kind of heel, even a 1.2" heel. So that's one instance in which an extra investment in a pair of shoes might be warranted.

Re: Are there any pretty, flat-sole shoes out there?
at what price are Aruba's? I took over similar looking sandals from a friend who'd bought them from the Amira Mor online boutique... They were not ideal in that I had to adjust the straps constantly.. is it me or are these not exactly easy to handle?
Amira's were at 30$, and she normally takes a big margin of profit.. (like she seems to buy skirts for around 20$, and sells them for 70). So I a guessing these sandals might have not been the best quality anyway..

Re: Are there any pretty, flat-sole shoes out there?
Aruba's sandals are hand-made, so they are quite pricey ($70-$75), but in my opinion they are worth every dollar. I had the Danshuz sandals before I got Aruba's and the difference is striking! Danshuz are very-very stiff, both the laces and the eyes for the laces, it literally hurt my feet (I have very delicate skin) and like you mentioned there was a need to readjust the laces. Aruba's are made of a very soft leather, both the laces and the eyes, so they are very comfy and stay put.
You can find all the info (colors, prices, sizes) here: Sitemap Aruba's Oasis Sandals

Those sandals you had before sound very much like the ones I had!
I'm very glad to pay more for hand made sandals, thanks for letting me know!

I wore these today for an outdoor gig. I had ballet slippers along as a back-up, but was really glad to have these on since I danced in the grass. They're regular street sandals, but are perfect for the occasional outdoor gig that would mess up dance shoes. And they're on clearance!!!! Check your local Target.

For me, the sizing is accurate.
