    Help! Indelible make-up

My b/f thinks this is hilarious. I have applied some 'extreme waterproof' eyeliner.

(this brand sells it's 'extreme waterproof' and 'normal' eyeliner in the same shaped pack, side-by-side on the shelf, and the shop helpfully taped the security tag over the top of the label that mentioned it).

It's metallic Turquoise. It won't come off. Today I'm off to see if I can find some 'extreme waterproof remover' but I wondered if the hive had any hints and tips.

This is Karma for straying from Barry M., also explains why I was a bit grumpy yesterday...

    Caroline.

Just took a look at a couple of different websites which sell Extreme Waterproof everything. Oil seems to be the key. Also try pertoleum jelly.

But maybe Azhia has better suggestions. . .

OMG, you are fab Tahiradancer. I just got a cotton bud/q tip. Stuck it in some olive oil, and bingo, it came off. I no longer look like a strange Cleopatra lady.

Yup - Azhia gave me that same trick for my mom's clowning makeup...

I've always used oil based stuff to remove all my makeup. Its also easier on your skin if you're not rubbing it hard to try and get the makeup off.

I never heard of extreme eyeliner. I'll have to stay away from that stuff, now that I see how much trouble it is to remove.

Wow, and it wasn't even Liquidlast?! At least you know what works now (staying on and how to remove it!)

I always use oil for removing eye makeup. Anything else causes too much rubbing and pulling of the skin. Qtips and oil (I use olive, but I think Mariyah says she uses almond oil), take off stubborn eye liner and eyelash glue like nobody's business!

Yes, q tip and oil from now on. To add insult to injury, I had been trying out different things on different eyes, so it was a 'stage makeup' version of the metallic turquoise eyeliner that had stuck. Only on the one eye! When my b/f came home, I looked like one of those people out of "a clockwork orange".
