Thread: Audrena's silk veils?

Does anyone have experience with them? Are they lightweight or heavy? Are the colors nice and vivid? Are they hemmed?

I have a 4 yard silk veil from Audrena. It's a really nice turquoise - I would call it vivid. The ends are hemmed. It is very light... floats beautifully. I really like it. I ordered it during one of her sales and had to wait quite a while to get it (and email to remind her I was waiting) but turned out to be worth it in the end. One of the members of the troupe I'm in has a solid gold 3 yard and a turquoise/green/fushia patterned 3 yard and loves them - both are beautiful deep colors.

I have a gold one and a silver one from Audrena (both brand new) to sell, if anyone wants...

I have one in purple and turquoise. Very light weight For me I like them but my personal preference I like weight to my veil. Flows really nice. I took advantage of thebuy1 get 1 free deal.

I bought one from her at last years ANAS - after seeing it at DDF the week before. Its a 4 yard VERY light silk - exactly my kind of veil! I can't remember now if it was hemmed or if I had to get it hemmed. A shocking mix of hot pink and fuchsia to go with one of my costumes - I'd been looking for something like it for awhile.

I have a fuschia, and a fuschia/red/pink veil...they are both really pretty, especially the fuschia...very light...I took advantage of the buy one get one(I think for $5) deal.

That's what I'm thinking, Amira... Lynn and I have that duet coming up.

I got mine on the same deal you're talking about. It took more than two months to get the veils, and now I don't need them anymore...

oh dear. We need ours in about 6 weeks, maybe I'd better not take the chance. Sounds like nice veils if you can wait, though.

Really? I got mine in a couple of days! I never have had a bad experience with Audrena's....
Oh yeah, the sides are hemmed, with the ones I got, but the top and bottom aren't...but I would say they are vivid. I'm not too sure how to really say it otherwise.

PS...the best thing to do, is call Audrena and see if the colors you want are in stock...and then order them.

That's good advice. We just ordered from Dahlal, they had two in stock in a color combo I think we'll really like. We spent a little more, but they'll be gradient rather than solid, which makes me happy!

Yes, gradient veils are always pretty...one of the ones I got from Audrena's was gradient...what color did you get?

Red to yellow. Ordered it yesterday, it came today -- the charge is still listed as 'pending' on my debit card! Great service, they helped me a lot with figuring out how to work what was in stock with what I needed (needed a matched pair for a duet)

And that's great that they helped a lot figuring things out...they did when I ordered the Egyptian Beauty costume too! I couldn't figure out which costume I wanted...and they warned me about the other designer...that it might not even come in...or it would be very different...or it wouldn't fit...etc
