Thread: I Need the Bhuz Medical Oracle....

My Rhuemitiz doc put me on a drug that gives me a rash that makes my skin red, bumpy and itchey. (this is the second one that has). Does anyone have this reaction to a drug and can you get habituated over time, or will my throat close and heart stop in my sleep if I keep pushing it. I want something to work...and every time I "fail" the next drug gets more intrusive.

Generally no. It is most likely an allergic reaction and although it may not get worse, it more than likely will not get better unless you are willing to take a med to counter the med you are taking. Oh, the fun of drugs...

Thanks...it sucks, dont it..I am off, took 2 steroid pills to counter act it...but I am done!

Just out of curiosity, have you tried any of the self injecting stuff like Embrel?

no...he seems to want to work up the toxicity spectrum...meh...

I only asked because it has worked wonders on both my arthritis and psoriasis. Kaiser had no problems just jumping right in.

ETA: That may be because it was actually my dermatologist is the one that prescribed it and not the rhumie.
