    Do you have one?
I've looked at them, but haven't talked to anyone that has one yet......
Sounds like a brilliant idea for a coffee lover!

I'll never go back to my old-school coffee pot again. Keurig coffee makers rock! A perfect cup of coffee, no mess, no waiting for a whole pot to brew. What's not to love???

oohh I'm such a fan of these, we had one at my old job.

I did keep my regular coffee pot though, I seem to drink a much bigger cup of joe than our little machine brewed! ..l;,

    I like my coffee rituals.

Not giving up on my presspot, my espresso maker, or my tiny Veitnam set (for when friends come back from 'Nam with the good stuff). I would hate to think how screwed I would be if I ran out of k-packs. As it is I am a walk from good beans.

Coffee May Cure Alzheimer's Disease - Yahoo! News UK

Wouldn't this be great if it's true.
I just hope the research wasn't funded by corporate coffee.
Anyway if I drink anymore strong coffee, my brain may be sharp but I wouldn't be able to hear myself think for my jangling teeth-fillings.

Canadian compagny Van Houtte makes those super single serve cups.

To follow up my news on caffeine and Alkheimers, there has just been on item on BBC and they are talking of further funding. Being a senior, might this mean I could be given free coffee along with my free bus pass..GRIN!

In such totaly and utter agreement with you. I found the machine annoying and cumbersome which was really rather disappointing bc I was wicked excited about it! I love my Bialetti and my $5-yard-sale Cuisinart grind-n-brew and will never stray again.

In my area, the cups are found in most of the grocery stores and box stores (like WalMart and Target). They can also be ordered online and are likely in office supply stores as well.

If anyone wants my Keurig, I am need of a leopard skirt and will gladly barter(PM me)! ..g.:

But, see, I used to be that way. Now I measure in easy, convenient pods. 3-4 usually does the trick for me ..l;,

I love my espresso machine, which does single shots whenever I want them, and it is cheaper. The only advantage of those pods I can see is that they are easily discarded, w/o mess. My sink always looks like I am the world's biggest slob because I rinse out my espresso filter in it.

The espresso machine is a holy appliance in our house, no blasphemy in the name of convenience ;-)

Unfortunatly they're not! On the other hand Van Houtte sell fair trade coffee for the same price as the regular non-fair, so I feel less guilty.

But the problem at the office, is that pleople are messy, negligent and careless in the kitchen, the regular coffee making machine always end up discusting.

So the Keurig was the best solution. But still I regularly end up cleaning the counter for other peoples coffee spilling and drips! ,m:: (Hey boss! Were you raise by cromagnons? ..c::)

We have these at my work, and I love them too! On ours, you can select how many ounces you want. Also, I think you can buy the cups and make your own pods and reuse them if that's a concern.

It's great for work - no more stale coffee burning in the pot at 4:30 pm and stinking up the whole office.

I'm old school (and a snob). I make stove top espresso with Goya or Pilon espresso. I also use vanilla soymilk and make iced lattes. That's pretty much the only way I like to drink my coffee. I tried to switch to coconut milk because of the concerns with soy, but it's not the same. Ugh, I feel like a yuppie! I'm enjoying a fresh cup right now.

Can you use your own coffee in that or are you limited to the pods? I grind my own beans every morning and am just not willing to give that up for anything.

    My coffee-making ritual is
    1) Measure and grind fair trade tasty beans (30 seconds)

    2) Put in Bunn coffee maker (15 seconds)

    3) Add water to pot (30 seconds)

    4) 3 minutes later.....whole pot of coffee for me :)

    5) Drink full pot and vibrate for rest of day ..l;,

I have one, and you can use your own coffee, you just need to buy the filter that goes with it. (it is a reusable filter, that you just rinse). I use both my own coffee and the single cups. I thought they were recyclable, I put them in my recycling bin and it gets taken. In my town, they will leave whatever they don't accept in your bin.

yup, Keurig sells the mesh looking filter so you can use your own coffee of choice, there's also water filters, a carousel to store the k-cups..an entire Keurig universe awaits

i'm hopelessly addicted to convenience (sorry!) because I have to manage two asian boys, a business, a new nurse career, and we live in a hotel style apartment.

my next purchase will be an i-touch..to think about storing all of that nursing knowledge like common drugs and lab values and have at the fingertips..it will be my pocket nurse :)

yes you can adjust the Keurig cup size..mine allows for two cup sizes..the small one is plenty for me..

there are a couple different coffee companies who sell k-cups with a strong espresso

if we had enough counter space i'd also have an espresso machine

Ozma i have one of those Vietnamese presses and LOVE it ..NOTHING tastes better than that with condensed milk

(but for quick mornings it's so nice to hit a button and have instant grat..and no cleanup)

i think i might craft the used k-cups into tourist leis and sell at the beach

whoohooo coffee!!!!!! only one cup and look at this!!!! blllllllllllllllllbllllllllllllgweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ee hahahahhahha

I have one of those and was disappointed at the battery life, plus I get 'ipod thumb' iPod Thumb, the new occupational hazard - Prolongued wheel use can lead to thumb and wrist problems - Softpedia if I use it too much. It's pretty cool though when there is battery life in it.

I wake up every morning to the sounds of my treasured [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-DGB-600BC-Grind-Brushed-Chrome/dp/B00006F2MI"]grind and brew[/ame] nothing like the sound of coffee getting smashed to bits and pieces to wake me up!

And there's no snooze button so I can't get those 10 more minutes that make me late to the office!

That is the BEST typed rendition of the sound a Keurig coffee maker makes. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

I also remember reading somewhere that Keurig is developing K-cups made from a biodegradable substance. They've tried a couple of different models, but haven't found something that holds up well and doesn't mess up the flavor of the coffee.

If you like your coffee all strong and virile, try the Dark Magic coffee from Green Mountain. That's my fave, and I've been drinking the girly flavored type too, A Perfect Peach, also from Green Mountain.

That's mine! Except it is the older model. I LOVE IT. I have to grind the beans the night before though bc my apt is way too small and I was having severe heart palpitations when the grinder started up in the morning. (Plus I envisioned my neighbors running me out of the building bc they too were awoken by it.)
