Thread: Cool summer dress made out from 2 scarves!

Hello ladies!

I saw a few of these in boutiques, and they sell around $35 to 50 something. But they are simply made with 2 identical square scarves sewn together and a couple of satin straps!

I'd call it sewing for super dummy. Anyone of you gals ever made one??

I may try to do the scarvedress for myself to, but maybe a bit higher in the back so I can wear a criss-cross bra with it, cause I don't allow the girls to go out free of support in the puplic world! .p::

love these kinds of dresses but refuse to pay $35 for something that would take me an hour to sew.
i have yet to spend that hour fruitfully.....ah well.

I'm planning to make my own as the store bought ones would swamp me. I'm small with a fair bit up top, my tip for other busty gals is to wear a triangle bikini top underneath if you need some support, then you can still have the sexy low back.

I love this dress! My question is where does one find scarves that large?

Yes, I have seen square scarves of 44 inches on each side.

But I guess 36 inches scarves can do to, I would make a nice top instead of a dress.

You could look for hijab scarves on some of the sites that sell clothes to Muslims.

I love these dresses! Even someone who is not too savvy with sewing could manage this. Maybe even sew some built-in cups for the girls!!
