Anybody using the Jessica Simpson HairDo extensions?

My stylist recommended them recently. She often uses the synthetic ones for wedding hair. If you've tried them, do you like them? Pros and cons? Do you rely only on the attached clip to secure them, or do you reinforce with something else? Which length/style do you prefer?

I haven't tried them (do they come for very dark brunettes?) but I've seen them and they look very real.

Ulta here carries them, but a limited few & they're kinda pricey. Feels real though - it's not synthetic pet hair.

I've used them. The clips are very secure--I've never felt like they were shifting or slipping. However, my hair is fine and fairly thin, so the clips will show if I don't tease and spray the top layer into a virtual helmet.

They do look pretty good, though! They don't match my texture exactly, but you'd have to study it pretty carefully to notice.

This is my experience with them, too. Darn fine hair. I like the look of the extensions but my hair is too fine to really cover the clips without some teasing and spraying.

I have used them...they drove me bat shyt..but I am a fingers in the hair person and brush my hair a lot. They felt like small rodents hanging off my scalp with their teeth..but then...I am a delicate flower when it comes to headbands, barrets, etc.

I use them all the time and I like them. I don't have any problems with the clips showing through my hair but I have a lot of dark hair. The clips stay really well and I never have to reinforce them, and the extensions blend really well with my hair.

I wore them to work today since it was raining and did not want to deal with my hair. I prefer the longest human hair extensions over synthetic because they can be dyed or styled. If you have thin hair, remember that they stay better if hair is not freshly washed, and try twisting the pieces before attaching the clip combs to make them stay in better. LOL, I would not recommend them for Kaleghy :)

Re: Anybody using the Jessica Simpson HairDo extensions?

Hi there. Thought I'd revive this thread to see if anyone else has impressions to offer. I keep looking at these on eBay and would just take the plunge if I could be sure of a good match. My hair is currently just past my shoulders in the back. I'm tremendously tempted by the 23" wavy, but maybe I should try the 18" wavy first just to see how it goes. My thought is that just in case it's not quite the perfect color, less of it will show under my own hair and I'll still get the volume boost. Does that make sense?

I have the long straight style, the long wavy looked all kinds of wrong on me, even though i have wavy hair naturally! I have never worn mine though, it felt too fake to me, and didn't really look right at the back when I tried it on myself vs having the store sales lady do it. I'm sure that could have been fixed if I had taken it to my hairdresser for styling to make it blend better and look more natural. However it did inspire me to grow my own hair! I might try it on again to see how it looks now my own hair is down to mid back at it's longest point...hmm.

Thanks for the input, Cara. Just out of curiosity, what color is yours?

I have the second to darkest shade, it blends fairly well with my natural color depending on how recently (or not) I have dyed it! I think I prefer the blonde wavy to the dark wavy - and Ken Paves does his demos with a dark straight and blonde wavy hairpiece, which may be telling...

I like the dark straight ones a lot -- very pretty and glossy and bellydancerish! My own color is tricky, somewhere in the dark blonde/light brown category with a reddish cast, like the "ginger brown" but lighter. I can't quite decide which shade would blend best.

I had a different brand that I got at Sally's, human hair but not that expensive (about $60 for a packet) and I *did* use them for some khaleegy and zaar hair tosses/swings and it was no problem at all.
