My bunny...
Got IN my dance bag, pulled out the brand new silk blue/purple/green watercolor veil that was crammed all the way down in the bag nowhere near the top and chewed a big fat hole in it. I wore it tucked in my skirt once but hadn't danced with it & it was my first multi colored veil and my favorite colors, too. ..cr.:
Good thing he can run fast & hide under the sofa. Mama wasn't happy about this. ,m::
Someone tell me there's a magic cure to fix the veil.

Re: My bunny...
I don't know how to fix the veil but I know how to fix the bunny. A little Glenn Close channeling, anyone?

(Just kidding! I'm an animal lover to the nth degree. I didn't even get really mad when my puppy chewed up my Steve Maddens AND my Chinese Laundrys [shoes], I just congratulated her on her excellent taste [bc she didn't eat those from Payless].)

Re: My bunny...
If you or a friend can sew, maybe you can make something else out of it. There's no fixing a big fat hole though. When you have the spare cash, you'll just have to treat yourself to another one. I know it's hard when you really love something and it gets ruined, even if it's paritally through your own carelessness. My pup ate up every doc martin shoe I had, except the tall combat boots. That was hard, but I just couldn't stop leaving them around. If only I'd listened to my dad and put things away....*L*
I ended up just buying at payless for a year or so till she grew out of it.
My condolences...

Re: My bunny...
I'm sorry this happened, Ruya, but I also couldn't help stifling some giggles :)
Perhaps you could sneak the bunny in to work and put her(him?:)) in that awful temp's purse, let Bunny wreak havoc and then sneak Bunny back out again :))
Seriously, though, depending on where/how bit the hole is probably not a whole lot you can do to fix (pun totally intended:)). Perhaps there's enough good veil left to cover fan tines and make a shorter fan-veil maybe?

Re: My bunny...
It might make a beautiful sheer shrug or drippy floaty sleeves, but if the hole is not near a short edge, there's not much you can do for it.

Re: My bunny...
**hugs** I'm so sorry! I have to hide veils on high shelves in my house--my cats will drag them around and nest in them if I don't. One of my cats clawed a noticeable hole in the middle of my favorite veil last fall. It was hanging over the shower curtain rod to dry after I washed it, and he yanked it down to make a bed out of it on the bathroom floor.
**sighs** I still use it for practice...it's too pretty to part with.

Re: My bunny...
i would be uber pissed but it's impossible to be mad at an animal. you have my sympathies.
you could try to make a handkerchief skirt out of it and wear it as another layer. maybe you will even have enough left over to make sleeves or a headband.
or....
cut it into a long strip and just wear it as a regular floaty scarf for everyday use for the hippie feel.

Re: My bunny...
my condolences...
depending on the location of the hole maybe you could split the veil to half and make a veil poi out of it?
