    Feather Eyelashes?

Has anybody tried these, or seen them worn onstage? If so I would love to hear any thoughts and opinions! I am wondering if they actually look good from a distance, or just sort of look like a strange something next to your eye. Also, are they strange feeling for the person wearing them?
    Thanks!

    Re: Feather Eyelashes?

I know it's all a matter of personal preference, so bear with me

They're awesome for beauty photo shoots, where an exotic makeup application is the main focus. Might be cool to bring along on your next shoot if you know your photographer will be doing some headshots.

I haven't tried them for stage or for full-body shots because I think they can look a little funny from a distance - either like you have something in your eye, or a Groucho Marx eyebrow where your eyelashes should be. All depends on the style, of course, and the look you're going for.

Who knows, though, if somebody posts just the right photo, I might have to run out to Sephora and give 'em a try!

I've worn those ones by that Japanese designer... can't recall his name. They are fab. Not much other make up required. They are worn by Cheryl Cole. I love them. They're not cheap and only last for about 8 wearings. Fantastic.

It depends on the color and how you wear them. On top, it makes your eyes look smaller. Better look from the bottom, but I agree they work better for pictures (or special show, like Halloween or something).

I'm assuming you mean the lashes with the feather "wisp" hanging off the edge?

Yeah, I agree. If you're concerned at all with your eyes appearing smaller, then this isn't the best choice! I have big blue eyes and always try to keep them center stage. Typically, the kookier the false lashes, the more they detract from my baby blues ,f::

I like taking a regular pair of feather lashes and just trimming an outer corner off and then putting that just on the outer corner of my eye with a pair of regular fake lashes. It gives you the exotic look of the feather lashes but not the overkill of them.

Darn-I was looking at the ones with wispy feathers at the edges, and I was so hoping somebody would tell me these are actually good looking from a distance! It sounds like some people enjoy other style, the Shu Uemura's, by frankly 8 wearings really isn't worth it for me. Oh well, thanks anyways! =)

I love feathered lashes - especially for stage, because the DO look great from a distance. I buy mine from this eBay Seller: eBay Store - ladies house82: Make-up Kit Set, Eye Shadow Palette, Make-up Tools. If you click on "Eyelashes," you'll see they have a variety of colors and styles.

Here's a picture of me taken by someone in the audience from a distance. If you click to enlarge it, you'll see the lashes show up pretty well:

I have a very beautiful friend who wore feather eyelashes for a fusion performance, and they made her look like she was half asleep! Fortunately, her dancing is full of life~
