Yea, I hope/think so. I was in the "right place at the right time" with this particular serger, so we'll see!

I was able to take a class through Joann Fabric with Sewtime, which helped quite a bit. Buy yourself some Fray Lock.

Fray Check/lock/whatever is one of my fave products! Couldn't sew without it - or have coin scarves for that matter!

I have a serger and make many of my circle skirts. Zorba, you might run into my same problem- When hemming the chiffon edges, everything is fine going down the leg slits, but when going across the bottom, i get huge gaps where the thread isn't even on the fabric anymore and then it joins back on the fabric. I have to stop and restart soooo many times. I've tried all kinds of settings. What am I doing wrong?

They're insanely expensive - but with careful and patient shopping, you can score one for fairly reasonable.
