When the belt isn't really up to your booty size
I got a lovely copper "coin" belt and it goes around my booty, and I think the drops dance really nicely, but I have this area of about 12-14 inches of just chain at the front where the clasp/hook is.
I don't know what to do. It looks bare there. I don't have anything to fill that with that matches. Any ideas? Don't worry about it? It looks great atop dark green and plum both.
Yummy.

you can tie a plain hip scarf around your hips under the coin belt and arrange the tassels in a way to hide/cover the bare chain area.
also, you can tuck your skirt and create a frill over the "naked" area.

If t'were me, I'd try to find a copper coin bib necklace from an e-bay or other on-line vendor and attach it to the extension chain to fill in the gap. You could pull your look together even more by getting two of the necklaces and using the second one as a belly drape.
This solution does of course require that you . . . stimulate the economy (spend $$!!).

Aha! But you can borrow it, anyway, Karnak! (so there!
) It was practically noiseless, but I do like the look!
I should try the tucking a flounce up into the waist bit.
And I DO have an odd little copper necklace ... hmmmm ... will see.
And yes, they do still have another copper belt just like it available on ebay ...

Well, Rosette, I looked at ebay and Ba-wham! it was right there. I bought it.
Oddly, although all the components are the same, it is a larger drop than the rest, and when I put it on as a necklace, it was clearly built for a larger woman, or a woman whose boobs didn't get in the way quite so much. ... So, huh ???
Anyhow, I put in on the belt, and arranged it so it's in the front. Also this pendant is more oxidized than the belt, but I imagine it would be hard to tell from the audience's pt of view.
