Source for burn-out velvet with stretch?

I really like the look of burn-out velvet that some designers (Eman & Hoda Zaki, Mumtaz) have been using recently for costumes. Has anyone found a good source for purchasing it? With stretch would be ideal. I assume what they're using has some stretch to it.

Yes - love that site and Spandex House, too. Haven't seen burn-out on either site, though. Did I miss it?

Also, I think I've seen it called something else, can't remember . . . so if you know of another name for it, please share. ..g.:

Spandex World Inc. spandex fabric, lycra stretch fabric

It was under stretch velvet, and when you look to the right they have the type of velvet categorized.

The first picture looks like a chiffon based fabric, while the second looks stretchy, or it could be rayon/silk?

Here are some links to some fabric online stores.

Velvet Fabric, Velveteen Fabric & Velour Fabric - Discount Designer Fabric - Fabric.com

Velvet Burnout Fabric - Discount Designer Fabric - Fabric.com

    http://www.denverfabrics.com/search/...rnout%20velvet

    Thai Silks - Fabric » Burn-Out Velvet

    http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/se...ywords=burnout

Don't forget to check Etsy, EBAY, and your local JoAnns - I have seen it there, especially in the clearance section =)

I've been looking for stretch burnout velvet too. I got some burnout from the fashionfabricsclub website but they're all chiffon-based rather than stretch.
Here's some I saw on spandexhouse.com - Welcome to Spandex House Inc.. At the bottom of the page.

Oooh - good lead because I think that's the other name I was looking for, "cut" velvet.

Also try "devoré velvet" or just "devoré." The burnout velvet Emans I've seen have definitely had stretch.

Ooh but they have bottle green! I haven't been able to find a nice green stretch devore anywhere!

Bizarre as it seems, that price is cheap for Australia. It's impossible to find stretch velvet (apart from panne) here under $20au/metre (which would be about 9 GBP). It's almost worth getting it shipped over.

Might try dharmatrading if you've had good experiences with them, Jes.

I swear I have it in almost every color. Stretchy, slightly sheer. I also have it in silk velvet.

Eshta, do you still have yardages of stretch burnout?
