I am just curious about the time it takes to have a costume made if ordered directly from SIM rather than DAHLAL??
The 2009 collection is GORGEOUS! But a few look rather Bellaesque.w.:.w.:
Anyone know???

Re: Ordering from SIM
I've ordered from Sim and if I remember correctly it was a two or three month turn around for my custom order. It was a positive experience for me. I recommend them.

Re: Ordering from SIM
I never got my password, either.
I think these designers are losing a lot of business by making it damn near impossible to place an order or preview their collections. Exclusivity is one thing, but this just strikes me as unprofessional, less-than-awesome customer service, IMO.
On the other hand, Serife over at Legend is incredibly nice and responds to your e-mails within a couple hours. No need for a password. Plus, I've heard that they have a short (3-week) turnaround. If you're looking for Turkish super-bling and don't feel like waiting a year to get your password, Legend might be a good Plan B worth exploring
Understandably, Bella and Sim might limit access to fend off the knockoff designers - but I think there should be a better system. I just think that in today's economic climate, attentive customer service is more critical than ever.
End rant.

Re: Ordering from SIM
Half of my rant is bitter jealousy that Bella doesn't like me enough to give me a password. LOL. But I'm also a stickler for customer service and will go out of my way to support companies that make their customers happy.

Re: Ordering from SIM
I've had to request passwords from both Bella and Sim a couple of times. I just chalked it up to technical glitches. I have a direct email for Sim to though, if you want it. Actually, let me just post it here:

Re: Ordering from SIM
It has been over a year and a half since I STARTED requesting passwords from Sim. I'll try again...
I got Bella's password on my second attempt though. LOL

Re: Ordering from SIM
I have never managed to get a password from Sim, but received a password from Bella in a few days. It was probably a year ago though... do her passwords expire?
I ended up ordering from Legend and highly recommend their customer service.

Re: Ordering from SIM
Does SIM ever have any in-stock costumes or is it all custom order when buying direct?
Any language barriers to be aware of?
How does payment work--deposit then payment in full? Credit card or bank transfer or...?

Re: Ordering from SIM
The lady from SIM has a bhuz account. She was floating a round here a few months ago. She mentioned the password issue and she said, just send me an e-mail...well I did that and still never got password. From her posts though, she seems rather fluent in English.
