Vibrating Mascara?
I was shopping for some make-up odds and ends yesterday and I came across vibrating mascara!
Maybelline New York Products: Pulse Perfection by Define-A-Lash Vibrating Mascara
Has anyone tried it? It was about $13 so I decided to wait and see if anyone had anything to say.

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
What is the point on vibrating mascara? So I'll make more of a mess when I poke myself in the eye as I inevitably do?

Totally agree. I saw this in the store the other day and the first thing I thought was "Accident Waiting to Happen" .w.:

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
I'm not for it. I am one of the only beauty bloggers who's refused to try it, but there you go. It just makes no sense to me whatsoever that I would point a vibrating implement at my *eye*.

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
I thought simply wiggling the wand side to side a little bit was sufficient to separate the lashes, anyway

I applaud all beauty bloggers who refuse to take part in this ridonkulous trend!

If you like the idea of this mascara, then you will love this. I particularly like the scientific style description. It made me laugh.

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
I ended up getting a different non-vibrating mascara when I went shopping. Number one, the price, number two, what everyone else said :) My luck, I'd not only get it everywhere, but I'd jab myself in the eye haha.

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
Sorry, guys, I couldn't resist - but could you imagine the endless possibilities for commercials for the vibrating tampons????
And they could come in different sizes!!!!!!

I'm gonna stop before this thread gets me into trouble

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
I think the idea is that it subtly vibrates causing the strands of eyelash to separate thus holding more product and looking fuller.
But in makeup class we learned to vibrate the brush with your hand to separate the strands.
There seems to be good reviews online. Personally I do my makeup in the car while driving and everything I buy is cheap so I won't be trying this. I think I'll save up for those vibrating tampons!

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
OK... so my hubby thought this was cool and insisted I buy some. It should be noted that I never wear make-up except for bellydance functions. Being that I'm a student in a student troupe... that's not too often. Needless to say I am basically the village idiot as far as make-up is concerned.

Well, I usded it this weekend. It vibrates in a way that the only way you know it is is by touching it (as well as the sound it makes). I can't say I noticed any real difference for me. It looked nice... but nothing remarkable.
Basically... it's just a novelty... but being that I am the queen of novelty (make something blue or miniature and I buy it) I'll still enjoy it. ..l;,

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
Maybe this is one of those products that they market more toward the boyfriend who's buying for the girl, than to the girl herself ,r:;
I could definitely picture my man buying this for me. Out of the goodness of his clueless little boy-heart, he's bought me some pretty whacked out beauty contraptions that end up collecting dust. Like the "smooth-away" hair-removal pad that feels like you're giving yourself rug burn and baby-soft skin at the same time. Or, worse, he found me a thong without side straps. Picture a turtle shell for your cooch .w.: The merkin has met its match!
Please, Stacy....if you ever discover this thread....I know you mean well. But if you're gonna buy me beauty shiznit, give me $50 and free reign at the MAC counter!

I gotta try this - I wonder if it has teeny little brushes that seem like they are vibrating because the bigger brushes are moving them. . .? I don't mean to sound stupid but how else could this be unless there is a little switch turning it on?

Re: Vibrating Mascara?
There's a button on the handle that you push that makes it vibrate.
