Thread: base making / beading favor exchange :D

not too sure how this would work out, it's just an idea so far.

So. i'm not very good at making bases (it gets on my nerves too lol - covering bras is ok but the skirts always turn out a little odd lol), however i am a pretty good beader and rather enjoy that (and i have waaay too many designs in my head and nothing to bead them onto!). i know there are other gals out there, who are in the opposite situation (good at making the skirts etc but don't like beading).
i was thinking there must be a way to make this into an advantage for everyone. as in, you have an unbeaded base, you send it to me (with or without precise beading ideas) and i happily bling it up for you, in exchange for a little $$ of course lol, gotta cover the costs. Or, you make a base for me in exchange for me beading one of yours for you. Or something like that?

Oh darn, we're in the same boat. By the time I get to cutting the SugarPetals bases down to fit my 29" hips they look nothing like the original. So if there's a 2nd person willing to do this as an exchange or for a reasonable price, let me know.

sakkara used to sell bases...i think? or very very minimally decorated bra's and belts, with the idea that you glam it up yourself, maybe have a look there...

I am super interested, but busy being pregnant & spacey a the moment- I've got your name now, tho, so watch out! I detest beading, but I too have too many ideas bumping around in my head- more costumes than I will ever wear, I guarantee!

just to add, i especially like the Pharaonics way of beading, and Bella. i'm not so much a 'sequins all over the place' beader, takes too long to my liking and doesn't look as nice as bead beading (lol) but i'll do it if that's what you want ^^
