Thread: Looking for something like this, fishnet body stockings

I found a link to some great fishnet body stockings
belly dance bodystockings body stocking fishnet spandex and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase something similar without having to buy from overseas.

These are made by bhuzzer Kharis. I'm not aware of anyone else making them anywhere else, since it is her own design. PM or email her, I'm sure she'd take paypal (or be able to sort something out with you), and would be willing to ship internationally.

If you are not in a hurry, the Halloween superstores that pop up in strip malls in late summer often carry full fishnet body stockings for use as costume bases--and you can convert them to stomach covers or wear as is. (If you can hang on even longer, they will reduce the prices after Halloween.) If you live near a theatrical/dance supply store, they should have them in stock year round, as will some of the dodgier online lingerie stores.

You could also buy a bodysuit/catsuit/leotard pattern and make your own; although, you'll probably have to substitute mesh since most fabric stores don't carry fishnet by the yard. Alternatively, I've heard of dancers who buy oversized fishnet stockings and improvise that way.

Once you get the base material, it's fairly trivial to use an embellishment adhesive (e.g., Gem Tack) to glue a few rhinestones or sequins on.

Professional grade Danskin fishnet tights. Cut off the legs (like boyshorts) and pull the waistband up under your bra (I'm 5'9 and amazingly it reaches easily). I sew straps onto mine and always wear a U-top or vest with it to hide the straps, but you can also sew hooks onto your bra and attach that way.

I've owned a LOT of bodystockings (sugar petals, seefit, etc) but this is my fave. Cheap, and durable.
