Spinning Off: Badonkadonk Lashes
Spinning off from Vibrating Mascara thread, thought I'd share a technique I like to utilize to create badonkadonk lashes*, volume + separation:
1) Curl your lashes, especially if they grow straight.
2) Using your favorite formula mascara (preferably not vibrating ..l;,), dip the wand once (never "pump") into the tube, wipe excess from the tip.
3) Holding mascara wand perpendicular to your lash line, tilt your head back and look into the mirror to give you the best access to the lash line, run the tip of the wand underneath the lashes, back and forth just a few times, as close to the lash root as possible. You only need to stay at the lash root for this step. One eye, and then the other; maintain this order so that b/t each step, the mascara dries.
4) Now holding mascara wand parallel to your lash line, brush a coat or 2 on top of the lashes, from root to tip.
5) Holding mascara wand parallel to your lash line, brush a coat or 2 underneath the lashes, wiggling the wand back and forth, from root to tip.
6) Repeat steps 2-6 until your desired badonkadonkness.
*This is coming from someone who has short, straight lashes. So this actually works.

<V8 slap to forehead> I have long lashes, but my upper lids droop so much that I look like this guy ,f:: . It never occurred to me to apply mascara to the top of the lash. Thanks!

Great instructions, but could you explain the purpose of the lash root application described in step 3?

Re: Spinning Off: Badonkadonk Lashes
I believe it's the key to volume-building the lashes. It also helps to define the lash line, as if you had applied a thin line of eyeliner to the lash line/root, making the lashes look thicker. It also builds strength at the root so that when you apply mascara to the rest of the lash (to the tip), not as likely to make the lashes droop.
Think of it this way: when you want to build voluminous hair, you backcomb at the root to build a thick base [of hair], not necessary to backcomb all the way up the shaft.
