Thread: Eyelash Extensions

I'm thinking about getting some. Will they hold up to swimming and sweating? Thanks!

if you get them done by a well trained technician, and care for them properly, they should last until the organic lash the extension is attached to sheds naturally. only use the special mascara for extensions, if you are going to use mascara...but you wont really need it. also, make sure you don't put any oil or oil based products on your lashes. it breaks down the bonding agent. so no oil based makeup removers. no eye cream on the lashes, etc. good luck. i think you will love them.

I SO want these, but they're pricey. I wouldn't mind the initial investment, but the touch-ups are expensive. Plus, the nearest salon that does it is in the deep suburbs and I don't drive.

But they're on my "if I win the lottery" short list. With a ride from a car service. :)

I'm gonna do it, but not for a few weeks. I'm going to Hawaii for just a few days in September so I will get them a few days then. I'll let you know how I like them.

I want to know too. They offer them in my area.

I buy individual lashes from a local makeup artist for two quid (5 dollars? Have no idea about exchange rates). And then apply them myself. They last about two weeks for me. I got a bit addicted tot hem and am currently giving my now-bald-eyelids a break so that the real ones can re-grow, but go for it, if you do it right you'll love them!!

None fell off in the rain or the sweat. And I sweat a lot (being a bit hormonal and stressed!).

I had xtreme lashes done in 2007. they looked FANTASTIC! I loved them. That brand is more expensive than other types but IMO they are much better and last longer.

You can go swiming in them and can sweat in them. Mine didnt budge but I got mine professionally taken off because my mum died. I had been crying and rubbing my eyes and I just wanted them off.

My uncle passed two years ago this May. My father wasn't in my life, so he was like a father to me so I can relate. ..cr.:
