Thread: beauticontrol?

Any reviews or opinions on beauticontrol skincare or makeup?

My husband's bosses' wife was sortof pushing it at a get together, so I bought some eye treatment and scented lotion. Haven't gotten it yet. Reviews at makeupalley are pretty good, but I am suspicious that beauticontrol consultants may have stuffed the ballots...

I got some holiday bath stuff as a gift once. I used it 'cause it was fun but I've since given it away since I'm all about organic and renewable resources and no harmful chemicals. I now use Norwex personal care stuff and apparently Univera has some face creams available now too. I've gotten really picky about what I use in my home and on my body. Afterall, if it's bad for the environment, how can it be good for me? I seek only the best!
Since you've already bought some stuff, enjoy it but read the ingredients and that might help you decide if you want to keep using it.

Is this a new product? I've never heard of it and I do read Alllure, you know <lol>

Beauticontrol has been around for a looonnnggg time, although their products have changed alot.

Their schtick used to be analyzing "color palettes" (spring, summer, winter, fall) and having makeup kits to go with each. I remember my mom used it when I was about 20 or so, and it was okay makeup. The products are not the same today however.

I can't get over the nagging idea that anything sold via multi-level marketing can't be that good....

My aunt sells it. It's okay, I suppose, but I just use what she gives me free ;-)

Many times it's not, because the company's focus is on recruitment and frontloading consultants and not on developing a quality product. I am admittedly biased though, being staunchly anti-MLM after seeing so many friends and family members get burned.

My mom uses Beauticontrol and likes it. She has ordered some stuff for me. I use their mineral foundation and really like it. I've also gotten some lipstick and eye shadow and my mom gave me some of their bath stuff for Xmas.

The stuff I've used I would say is good quality, although I'm not sure it's worth the high price on a regular basis. My mom likes it better than dept. store stuff so it works for her.
