Just found out that the makeup website Shop Eyes Lips Face | e.l.f. Cosmetics is going to be going out of business. TONS of makeup on the website on sale for only $1 -- brushes! lip color! eyeshadow! mascara!

If you go to the site it will look like business as usual, but check out the actual items. I just ordered concealers, two brushes, a Dramatic Eyes, kit, shine papers, and some eyeshadows... for $17 plus shipping.

And then I thought... maybe the bellydancers would like to know about this... ..g.:

No wonder they are going out of business. I've ordered from them in the past. not great stuff, but the price is awesome.

They didn't look like they were going out of business to me.

Oh great! we were HOAXED. I looked around online and found out that ELF makeup is always this cheap, and this rumor was started three or four YEARS ago. Grr. Well, I bought some cheap makeup... for not much money. What a shock!

Too late, I ordered $76 of it last night. I will let everybody know if it is totally crummy junk. By the time I figured out what was going on, both my daughters had already picked out tons of stuff... I really really hope this stuff is not all that bad. I will report back when I get and try everything. And I do mean everything. We ordered 66 items, but got free shipping. Cross your fingers that I'll find something great in there.

Maybe just change the title to something about $1 products, so I have a place to report back to. I changed a title once. You have to go into 'Go Advanced' I think on your original post.

It's not Bad...it's just not good. If you like Mac, you'll be sorely disappointed. I really did like their brushes, it's a good deal. And the lip glosses were fun.

I had that feeling. I avoided eyeshadows, although my girls picked some out for themselves. I got several brushes, some e.l.f. and some from some other brand on the site at the right side of the header bar. I will have to do a big chart with pics of what I ordered and how each is. Just call me the elf ginuea pig.

Great tweezers. The eye liner pens are really good too. Good lipglosses.

I bought probably about $75 worth of brushes, liners, shadow, nail polishes tweezers, moisturizers and so on and for the most part am very pleased with the quality! The eye shadows defiantely don't have the punch for stage...the black liquid liner is GREAT for stage...very waterproof, but has a VERY chem-smell that is off-putting...better for facial tattoos than lining eyes...for $1...I'd stock up...

Ok, we got our box today, we are missing one thing, but we got free flip flops, haven't decided if I am going to write to straighten out the missing thing yet. So far, the brushes seem fine, the individual eyeshadows you pop into the magnet case (upper right part of picture) seem to have gone on really well, and not bad looking either. Lipgloss feels a bit oily, but very glossy, blush went on with lot of pigment. The eye-widener is worthless. It's a white eyeliner for your water line. Does not go on waterline, or regular lid. Trashing it. Plumping lip glaze still looked fresh 2+ hours after I put it on. I'll come back here and edit this post as we try more things to let you all know what's great or- sucky. Chart below, too many charcters.

BTW...I had an eyeshadow missing from my order...they shipped the next day at their expense, no questions asked!

All over Color stick- Yay!

All over Cover stick- Ok Really small, but thickish concealer

Custom Eyes individual shadows -Yay! Daughter likes em well enough, and she is a mac devotee, they aren’t that good by any means, but I’m surprised she liked them, and they look fine to me too!

Eye Whitener- Nope Total waste

Eyebrow lifter and filler- Yay! My fave thing so far, I think this was $3

Featherproof Moisturizing lip liner Yay!

Get the Look Smokey Eyes (Mascara only so far)- Yay! Average, nothing spectacular, but not smeary at end of day

Luscious Liquid Lipstick- Yay! Oily but ok color

Nail Polish Fair pink-Ok Fine, 1 day 1 coat, no chips, 1 day 3 coats (daughter) no chips, but it’s pale, so hard to tell so I’m giving it “ok” for now

Natural Radiance Blusher-yay! Good color, smooth powder, great with total face brush

Plumping lip glaze Yay! More color than I expected, tingly, wore well

Shimmering Facial Whip- yay! Lot of color and little bit of sparkle

Shine eraser papers Yay! Can’t go wrong with these

Spotlight Shimmer-yay!

Super glossy lip shine-Fine, cheap lip gloss,

Tinted Moisturizer 15 spf-ok I never use this stuff, so it is too sheer for a full cover girl like me, but I think I got 4 colors of the stuff, so I’ll try

Total Face Brush-yay!Like it

Waterproof Eyeliner pen-yay! So easy to put on smoothly, wore fine for regular day wear, haven’t sweat in it yet
