This bra is all over ebay...anyone try one yet? Looking for cheap student costuming...

Hmmm...I haven't seen one in person, but it looks pretty cute for a student costume!

It's cute. If you added a second skirt to make it non-transparent, it would be a very nice costume. Even if you had to retrofit the bra, too.

I think my friend ordered that same bra and it is not that bad, I think she did a little bit to it but overall it was not bad for a student costume.

Would love to start generate a list of quality e-bay vendors & alternative sources for student costumes. This particular e-bay seller has a lot of cute options.

In my studio they have carried some of the China manufactured costume pieces. They are not bad but definitely no professional. Lingerie hardware is still intact and showing. Also, the tend to run very small. But that having been said, for someone who is only going to perform at a student show, or if you need to get several inexpensive costumes for a student hafla, this is not a bad option.

Yes..when ordering from China send them a size chart, they normally make items super tiny

Just the wording of their "return" policy would make me suspiscious though:

We have had a couple of Chinese manufacturers on the board and one of the consistencies I have always noticed is their inconsistencies. As English is not their first language, many times they are cutting and pasting their text without really knowing what they are writing.

I think in the end it's a craps shoot. Afterall, what is the cost to ship something back to China as opposed to reselling it?

I saw a young gal out at the Renaissance Festival this weekend that had that bra on. Hers was gold, but it was that exact same design.

One of the good things about it is that the sequins were very sparkly. From far away, it definitely caught my eye and looked rather cute.

Once I saw it up close, though, I was much less impressed. You could clearly see that the base was just a regular bra. You could see the three rows of metal hooks in the back because the "end tabs" of the bra straps were not covered. I kept looking at it, worrying if it was going to pop open. The sequin coverage was rather sparse, too.

I bought some to see how they'd look. They are cute but like Anjela says it's a bra sew with sequins sew on. You'd need to alter the backing which wouldn't be much work. They are super sparkely. But they are also a little small. I'd guess a size 00-4 could fit in the skirt. The skirts are all a little differently sized.
