Thread: best place to find DD costumes

prefer no lycra, love swishy fringe sets, and full circle skirts (double chiffon)

any vendors you trust to truly fit a full DD?

I have had good luck with Pharaonix (as long as you know your cup#), Bella, Hanan, and Paganini. I think most of the major designers and retailers can work with you as long as you know the cup measurements you need. There is such a huge difference between cups sizes based on band that the actual cup letter can be pretty meaningless when ordering. I have also found that other designers usually know the Pharaonix cup numbering system too and can help convert that and your measurements to their cup sizes.

I know I wear an 8, just because of the band.

Bellydancestore, Audrena, and Dahlal should have them new of course.

I have only found one costume in the Swap Meet in my exact size. I am not so lucky myself when it comes down to find both bra/belt unless I want it custom or it has my size and then sells out.

I never find anything...i figure i'm saving money... ha!

i've had positive experiences with pharaonics, emans, and ablas.... i haven't tried hanans yet, but their on my list :)

I'm new at this, do you go for a bra that is a bit bigger so you don't have boob leakage?

I'm not actively looking yet just wondering for future plus can't stop staring at jeweled things

Amity has had some awesome Yasser costumes that were DD

i would recommend measuring a bra cup that fits you well... height, width and diagonal measurements. if you give these measurements to costume ateliers, they'll make the correct size for you... it's always best to round up a teensie bit and add padding later than to end up with a bra too small...

or you can do like me and just go to egypt and have them measure you personally! ..l;,

I have purchased bras and one horrid one-piece swimsuit from figleaves.com The one piece wasn't their fault..I'm tall and the suit must have been two 'short' lengthwise cuz it grabbed and lifted my ass up so high that i looked like i had four cheeks. nawt kewl.

I bought a two piece from Loco boutique..loved the suit so much but the girls get kinda crammed into the cups. but the DD cup i have looks like a maternity suit or something to hold udders

finding an attractive suit that STAYS ON when you tumble around in the waves and get somersaulted is a challenge. I suppose there may be more selection for DD cup at Walmart but they always sell those flowery skirted atrocities
