HELP! Cheep Student Costumes
Hey there
My students are going to be doing their first Hafla in October, I am looking for sources of cheep costumes. So far I have moondancebellydance.com is there anything else out there that is cheep? They already have coin scarves, so I just need skirts and tops prefferably choli tops or wrap tops. I am trying to keep them around $50 (am I dreaming with this number?)
Thanks

Re: HELP! Cheep Student Costumes
My instructor ordeed "endless wave pants" and I believe she contacted the seller to see if she could get a group rate. We wore lace type cholis with them and it was a great look.

Hi Annwyn! How are you?
I second Mode Mystique if you are trying to keep the price down. Nice quality for the price... lots of colors to choose from. There's always L Rose too, but that might be a bit more expensive.

Re: HELP! Cheep Student Costumes
Annwyn, I have a couple of beginner costumes that I'd be willing to sell for $50 to $75. I'll get pictures and measurements this evening if you're interested. Let me know.
Both are pink/purple combinations. Choli type tops with skirts.

Re: HELP! Cheep Student Costumes
Let me go through my closet; I know I have a mint green costume I can add, a blue/silver pant set, and a red costume. Actually, yes, I think I have 5 beginner costumes that need homes. Do you need them all to be the same color, or does it matter?

Re: HELP! Cheep Student Costumes
Here are two costumes and their measurements. I'm working on getting pictures for the other two.
Red Gypsy Outfit: Handmade by Theora's Belly Dance Boutique. Washable. $50.00
Top: Fits my 36C's well
Shoulder to shoulder: 16"
Underbust has ties, so fits variety of sizes. My underbust is 34" and there is at least 10" of tie still to stretch.
Top to bottom: 13"
Skirt:
Elastic waist: 26" unstretched, 38" comfortably stretched
31" long (I wore this fairly low on the hips).
Pink Fairy/Gypsy Costume: Handmade by Sarah, Jewel of the Nile. Washable.
Asking $55.00.
Top:
Top to bottom: 16 inches
Shoulder to shoulder: 16"
Bottom edge with ties folded in: 21" lying flat (about 42" total)
Underarms are open to allow for freedom of movement
Skirt:
Inner satin/polyster layer: 28" to 31"
Outer chiffon layer: 35" at longest point
Elastic waist: 28" unstretched, 38" comfortably stretched
Decorated belt: 33" with 16" long ties
