Thread: Appliques & buckles?

So, where do you find appliques and those cool rhinestone buckles? I'm just starting making my own costumes and I don't know how to bead yet, but I'd like to find some appliques & some of those pretty rhinestone buckles. So, if you wouldn't mind sharing some websites/ideas with me, I'd appreciate it. :-)

I found a nice round rhinestoned buckle on Ebay for cheap. I would start there. I think I just searched "rhinestone buckle".

Does Chicago have a Garment district? If so, you might want to go spend a day just trolling.

fabric stores carry blingy buckles in the bridal section (usually).

For appliques, try thrift shops. The evening wear section has some doozies *g*

M & J Trim is nice, but pricey.

If you are in the Chicago area, I would check out Vogue Fabric store... Especially the one in Evanston/Skokie... They're ginormous.

I'm in the west burbs of Chicago. I haven't been to Vogue in a year. Maybe time for another trip.
