    Come to the dark side..

..say my lycra-wearing facebook dancer friends ..l;,

I have eyed one costume off & on for months. I think it's so pretty. Just beads & sequins in an understated but elegant (i think) design - with a massive cut-out on each side. So it's a double-whammy effect of elegant design but cutouts

I think I might..maybe..possibly..need this lyrca set. Unsure of the length tho. The lycra skirt is 37" long. In chiffon I wear a 36" long circle skirt. At my absolute widest point around my tail end (not UH or LH), I'm 40.5". Would 37" be long enough or would it the lycra hit me too short once i got it on, you think?

How wide is the lycra skirt at it's widest? If the skirt is the right size, 37" should be fine, but if it has to stretch much, it will take up the length a little.

Don't be afraid of cutouts. You can always line them with a Lycra or mesh type of fabric that matches your skin tone or the color of your costume ..g.:

You need it. :-p Like TH said, as long as it's the right width at the hips, 37" should be just fine.

Yes, I think it would work for you. I need longer than that, because of my hips and butt.

I can't wait to get mine. I am purchasing another one, so I will have too. =) I will tell you how it is Ruya. As I am the circle skirt queen myself, but found after watching video that well it doesn't suit me too well. I won't be needing anymore costumes, though.

Circle skirts suit me (i think...) But i also recognize i do need at least one lycra set for events that call for a more modern look. This one lycra set..idk..something about it. The cutouts i'm not afraid of, l know if they aren't lined then they can be (think they already are tho). I'm afraid of muffin top or it revealing any & every bump & ripple on my backside, and not in a good way.

this is the skirt measurement: Upper Hip: 30-39", Lower Hip: 33-42", Length: 37"

so as long as the max lower hip is the same size or larger than my hip then i should be okay? for my belts, i wear UH 36" & LH 41"

It sounds to me like you should be okay with those measurements...

Re: Come to the dark side..

I'm going to disagree-I'm sorry! I think it might be a little short on you. If the lower hip measurement is max 42 inches, it will fit you there, but I think it will ride up and be too short. I wear 36 inch long chiffon skirts and my lycra ones are usually 38 inches.

I would hate for you to be disappointed. I wish you could try it one.

I'm sorry!!! I almost didn't respond. But I think you need more than and inch extra for the length.

But I could be wrong. I have never ordered from Dahlal. What is their return policy?

Just looked at it...SCANDALOUS!!! You would definitely have a change of pace with that one!!! :)

No no, I was just teasing - I asked for opinions & advice because I don't know how lycra fits.

    It is, isn't it? ..g.:

    Dahlal's return policy:

To return costumes, scarves, or accessories:
    * Call or email for an authorization number.
    * Return the item in its original condition with its original receipt. Return it within 15 days of the day it was shipped to you. (It cannot be altered or damaged in any way.)
    * We highly recommend insuring the package you send. You are responsible for the merchandise until it reaches our company.
    * All sales are final on sale and clearance items --- except costumes ordered from our website. Sale Clearance costumes may be returned, in compliance with our return policy, only if they do not fit.
I don't want to have to return anything though. Hate to give up on this costume ..cr.: because except for the questionable length, it's my size and I really didn't want to spend much more than that right now. But maybe a little longer would be better since I plan on dance heels with whatever I get, too?
