Thread: honest opinions on a costume

I need to have a nice looking lycra set on hand. Something that can pull double duty - for private parties that don't want the chiffon skirt look, but that also looks good for a club. I'm on a budget, but of course I don't want it to look cheap.

I like item #7102 at bdstore, but would like honest dancer opinions before I click 'finalize order' & pay. I'm not at home so unable to post a pic, sorry (if someone else is able to I'd appreciate it). I think the color would look good on me (fair skin & dark hair) & a poll of many GP friends is positive, however we all know most GP can't really tell a TAS from a Sahar. I think this would fit the bill, however want to hear from more experienced dancers, especially for club wear. Venues here are 98-99% non-ME audiences, it's all Western/American, so I don't feel the need for the latest trend like if I were at a predominantly ME club.

I think the turquoise will look good on your fair skin tone, and I really like that the fringe has a variety of beads to give it a unique texture. I’m really not a fan of that thong-belt-thing, but I like that the designer put it to the side and it makes it look more like a costume and less like underwear gone wrong.

great color. i think if you remove the seatbelt and sew it on to the waist band for added edge bling & sew some crystals on it, you will be in business.
eta: you might want to give the headband an asymmetrical pinch on the same side as the skirt gathering. headband seems a bit wide.

eta: oh and yeah, that headband is more of a head scarf I think. already decided to fix that puppy. it'll be a proper headband when i get done with it.

I bought it yesterday afternoon. Very excited. BDStore said I should have it by the middle-end of next week.
