    Saidi Head gear

So I am looking for ideas/advice on what to wear on my head when I do Raqs Assaya. I like to have a head band or something to keep my hair out of my face as it tends to have a mind of its own but all the stuff I have is more cabaret. I figure this is a good excuse to get some additional head wear but I have no idea what to get. Help!

    How about a heapwrap?

Obviously not satin or silk or your cane will go into orbit but perhaps something in cotton? Assuit? Or if your dress is blinged out, something in glitterdot?

Sorry, haven't done Raks Assaya yet, justb tossing ideas...

A fabric or coin-edged head wrap is nice. Nourhan wears a coin scarf double-wrapped around her head on her Raqs Assaya video cover

    but I really like the coin-edged do-rags from Zarifa's

Here's a video clip of Mona doing Saidi with a heavy coin headpiece on. At one point she stands still and slooooowly takes it off... so Mona, naughty and hot.

Ho ho, when I saw the title of this thread, I IMMEDIATELY thought of this Mona Saaid clip and that headdress of hers.

Although the dress and hip scarf are not done yet, here is where I am at the moment...
The scarf will be green with gold coins....Ignore what is on there now, I decided to go a different way.

I really like the first one but I am not sure it goes with the feel of the dress, perhaps the second one tho.....

Mona's is of course fabou, but I would have no idea how to make it....

It's beautiful! But I may be biased since she is my favorite Egyptian dancer
