    Is "Glissenette" Ok To Use As Base Covers?

    I'm trying to figure out what fabric to use to cover my bra and belt base. I like the kind of fabric that Audrena's website tends to use.
    Is Glissenette what I'm looking for?
    Thanks

    GLissenette is a very sheer fabric, I would not recommend it as sheer fabrics when photographed with a flash often reveal everything under them. Doing multiple layers is going to be a waste of time.

    Audrena sells Pharaonics exclusively. Most of those costumes these days have a Spandex (aka Lycra) base. That's probably what you are looking for. You want a really heavy one (sometimes called Jumbo) if you are going to do lots of beadwork.

    I know little about fabrics, but I'm on the learning path!
    I was unaware that stuff was sheer. That's deffintely not what I want then.

    Andalee, I will look for jumbo lycra online then.
    Thanks
    PS meant to complement you on your pearl costume. It's lovely.,r:;

    I found out by googling (I didn't know what it was because when I'm shopping for fabrics it's usually in a different language).
    If you have a brick-and-mortar fabric store nearby, even if it doesn't have a great selection, go and look at what the different fabric types are and don't be afraid to ask...it'll help you understand what is what if you are ordering on-line later.
