Thread: Where do you find huge rhinestones?

Like the sizes you find on Bella's and Pharaonics and other name brand costumes? I can find medium sized ones ok, but I can't seem to find the huge ones....

And do colored rhinestone strands exist? Or are they only in Crystal and Crystal AB? I'm particularly looking for sapphire and/or cobalt.

I wanna try my hand at decorating a costume. I don't know how to sew, so I'm getting my mom to help me with that... but I can probably handle decorating it.

I just have to find the rhinestones to turn my ideas into reality.

I get most of my rhinestones from Dreamtime Creations. I've also had some luck on Ebay. Here's a link to dreamtime:

try searching for "blue rhinestone chain" on Ebay. Dreamtime has it too, but Ebay can sometimes be cheaper.

Maybe some of the German costume designers can chime in here and tell where they get their stones closer to home for you.

Try looking in your phone directory or online for a theatrical supply company (where costumers buy materials to make actors' or dancers' performance clothes).

An Ebay seller Whitestones has a lot of big stones. They have more than what's listed on ebay, too. I just placed my first order with them and am waiting to receive the stones.

Don't always strike gold there but I have come across rather large rhinestones at Jo Anne's fabrics. You might actually be able to get something there right now because of Halloween approaching.

There are probably Swarovski wholesalers near you - just google for that, or email Swarovski and they should be able to tell you.
I get them by the factory box usually, so they're slightly cheaper. I just bought a box of crystal copper huge pear shaped crystals and I just can't stop taking them out and looking at them!

I just saw some monstrous rhinestones at a Jo Anne's today. They came in a big bag of assorted stones. It looked like a lot of fun, but I decided against buying it since I have so many other projects to complete.
