Thread: Does *anyone* stock costumes w/size 9 bra cup?

Does *anyone* stock costumes w/size 9 bra cup? Or am I in a strictly custom order only zone? I've seen a few costumes that might come close on bellydancestore.biz, but they don't list measurements or numerical cup sizes on a lot of their plus size bigger bedlah. I'm just wondering if there's a hidden trove of stuff waiting for me that I just don't know about!

You can email them and ask them to measure costumes. They're responsive and friendly. They might have a gold great loops with size 9 cups, depending on your hip size. I had to return one because the cups were too small. Yep, my boobs are ginormous.

Cool, I'll have to try that, I love the great loops, they are so versatile (that, and I actually haven't seen anyone dance in a set here!)

Audrena should have some and she has different colors. Bellydancestore carries them too, but I think the silver one is there.
Try Dahlal too.

I have a couple of larger-cupped costumes, but they aren't on the web site because I don't have a model for them. I'm not exactly sure how big a size 9 is, though. What vertical and horizontal cup measurements would you need?

Hmm, my favorite bra has cups with more coverage than the average belly dance bra, so I'm not sure how accurate measuring that is - but my ribcage is 35 inches around and my bust is 45 inches around, and I wear a 36 or 38 H cup(American, I'm a G in British bras), so I'm pretty sure size-wise, the 9 is going to be my best bet.

9 cup should be about 14 inches across taking in the depth of the cup. that is what I wear. Basically, if it fits on your head and makes a nice hat, then it's a winner!

Yes! My regular bras make lovely two-person hats. A dance bra would be much prettier!

What happened to those "Busty Babes of Bhuz" T-shirts we were going to order, Nilaja? (Also: happy belated birthday!)

I haven't yet gone the custom route, but I've had good luck stalking other big-boobed babes here on Bhuz who buy from the designers in Egypt or Turkey or are brave enough to custom order.

Dahlal will very occasionally get a great bedlah or dress with a big bra, but it's hard to predict when something like that will show up. I've found Christie, the costume coordinator there, to be tremendously helpful when it comes to answering questions and taking measurements. You might want to shoot her an e-mail and see if they have anything in stock that hasn't made it onto the site yet.

The Bellydance Store stocks some very large-cupped bras in some pretty designs -- check under Plus Size. Unfortunately, in my experience, the ones there that are not from Pharaonics or Eman have tended to have fit issues: extremely wide and wide-set cups that end up under my armpits and leave me exposed in the middle. I'm not a delicate little flower, either: my band size is 38" on a medium frame. It's worth trying there, but I'd advise asking for the measurement across the front of the bra, from the outside edge of one cup to the outside edge of the other, to get a sense of whether the proportions of a particular costume might work for you.

hehe..Busty Babes of Bhuz. I forgot about that. I can make them. Im not sure if I want the word "busty" on my G cups. Same reason why I don't wear "baby phat" T's. Don't want people muttering "ya'think?!" :)

Sorry to run on, but speaking of proportions, I just wanted to mention this:

In terms of cup volume, I am most definitely an 8. In terms of what looks good on me, though, I'm finding that a 7 with a little fabric "boobouflage" added to the tops of the cups often works out best. It depends on how the bra is cut, but a lot of the 8s have very tall cups that eat my not-very-long torso and actually make my chest look bigger. If I go down a size and add coverage that's a little less structured, it can sometimes be more flattering. It really depends on the individual bra and your individual bod, so if you find an 8 or even a more covered style in a 7 that you love, don't assume it won't work well for you with a little rejiggering.

lololol You gals are awesome! I also tend to avoid anything crazy on my bust or booty, I remember once when my kids and I were fingerpainting, my son tapped me on the butt (a full-hand tap)... I didn't realize I went the rest of the day with little hands on my bum.

Good thing to know about alternative cup sizes - I know some of the ones that are really far set will probably be a no-go, because no matter what I do, my boobs touch, and a Dina style bra might cause heart attacks in my area if I wore it and shimmied...

If you are Nilaja's size then no, I don't have anything to fit you. Sorry! I did look while I was there, but there wasn't anything already made that was that large.
