Thread: Custom Ordering Pharonics Skirts from Belly dance store

How's that for a thread title?

Has anyone custom ordered Pharonics skirts through the belly dance store before? How long did it take them to get to you? If you ordered them elsewhere, how long did they take?

I have ordered through the BD store. It took a couple of months, but have been happy with their customer service :)

I'm there often. I buy from stock mostly but have also made requests.
A lot of custom orders from there truly depend more on the designer than on the vendor. Pharaonics (Amira el Kittan) is most of the time really good with her orders being accurate.
Timeliness depends upon a number of things. First it must be made on time.
Then it will go to the shipping company. THEN it sometimes waits until the rest of the shipment is ready. This is one possible cause for delays. If other designers don't have stuff ready in time the shipment will be held up.
Then it is shipped here. Then in the US, customs takes their sweet ol time with it - another possible delay and finally it gets to the store.
If it were me, I'd do it. It would likely be close to what I ordered, as it's a Pharaonics... but I wouldn't do it for something with a really close deadline.
