    Fringe Skirt Support??

I'm adding rows of short fringe to an already made stretch velvet skirt. For those of you with these types of skirt, how is the fringe supported?? Is there a ribbon/elastic/something behind it to protect the fabric?? Is it a length of fringe or individual strands attached directly to the skirt??

HELP!! I'm trying to get this done in time for Rakkasah East.

    Re: Fringe Skirt Support??

The ones that I've seen that have fringe on a stretch skirt are attached by individual strands, not on a cord like fringe usually comes.

    Hi Shahla,

Thanks for answering. Have you noticed any support for the strands on the inside of the skirt??

Nope. The strands were just sewed onto the skirt. No lining either.
