a couple of two tones to show you
Dyed some super mellow but deeply colored two tones. One is a turquoise/electric blue with hints of aquamarine and a darker blue border. The other is a deep blue with purple. Neither have the flashy characteristic akai border but I'm enjoying dyeing them
not photo'd yet but I have a blue/teal that's been selling well, along with orange/pink, peach/red, burgundy/pink ...you get the idea...they look nice with more conservative costuming choices

the second veil, deep blue and purple, is photo'd with a Jemileh colored silk skirt..will post more pics later of the matching veils and they are up for grabs, used for photos only

Re: a couple of two tones to show you
I like them too, though they are not much of a challenge to dye, I don't always try to dye something that is an artistic challenge but instead try to go for something dancers will use and like. these two tones are like black shoes, they go with everything
here's a purple/red two tone combo
not photo'd but i also dye a burgundy purple combo that is deep and pretty

I'd like the purple-burgundy combo, would go really well with one of my Bella's. When will you have these available for sale?
The purple-red is really pretty, my two favorite colors in one place!Last edited by NancyAsiya; 09-25-2009 at 09:45 AM.

Re: a couple of two tones to show you
Dancers, after a much needed morning surf I'll take a look at what is here..I am happy to sell the used for photos veils at a discount but let me get them listed on ebay so that I have easier track of transactions.
The second photo of the purple/red is a really good example of how the CHARMEUSE SILK looks in movement, notice it is glossier but it's not stiff like a satin material. In the previous photos from another post, the chartreuse green outfit I am wearing ..those are charmeuse silk pants and skirt. They really pick up the light and they flow better than the habotai silk. I like the habotai silk personally for layering colors..the charmeuse tends to be heavier but you can wear them alone or over a pair of harems and they rock.
The windswept photo shows how the colors look on charmeuse..kind of like adding lip gloss over a matte lipstick. I'm so hooked on these charmeuse now.
I will be posting the skirt for sale as it is too short on me :(
And yes in between nurse jobs I will be ordering and dyeing more charmeuse skirts.

Re: a couple of two tones to show you
here's a multi tone veil, Jemileh..the colors are a deep blue/purple blending to purple, fuschia and iced fuschia (or what I call plumeria but its actually a hawaiian orchid lol)
if you use your imagination, i can dye veils that are just blue/purple/dark fuschia without the lighter pink, and can also do the dark fuschia with just the lighter pink. save me the time of getting all those photos on separate veils and imagine just portion of that veil combo :) again i'm loving two tones right now. i've dyed enough bird of paradise for a lifetime and while i do love them dearly and will still dye them, i'm going thru a tonal phase :)
anyways here's some shots. if anyone visits Hawaii I can tell you where this location is..it's one of the prettiest places i've ever seen

ps for those concerned, yes i pay for advertising on bhuz, thank you

Re: a couple of two tones to show you
what I'll probably do is carry a small selection of colors (since I'm still tight on cash) in petite, medium, and long..they may need an altering, I can't afford at this moment to carry them in all lengths but over time I hope :)
will be offering mostly two tone skirts, a few solids like red and turquoise since they are versatile, no custom at the moment
will probably be offering them with smaller half circle veils of charmeuse..once you see pics it will make sense. large veils can't handle the weight (well they could for more cape like stuff) but the Little Wings in charmeuse, i have a pair made right now i'm playing with and will get photos soon and offer them
..g.:

Re: a couple of two tones to show you
yes..that's why i'm doing more two tones so they go with bedlahs and don't compete. I used to dye habotai silk skirts to go along with the neckelmanns but now since i've um..upgraded to pharaonics bedlahs and Sims i prefer making the two tone charmeuse silk skirts :)

The two tones are very pretty.. although I think I'd probably be one of those "paradise bird" types (if it means what I think.. multi coloured :) )

I love these--I prefer this subtler style of tonal shift in color to bolder styles, just for me personally.

the new blue two-tones remind me of the "midnight" veils you made for me a few years ago. I love them and find them to be highly versatile. nice work. :)
