Inspire me with your Kandy!
Eye Kandy, that is! I'm going to try and sit down to experiment with my Eye Kandy this weekend. I haven't gotten a chance to try any of my four colors yet.
I'd love to see some of the fun things you all have done with yours (or if you have any pictures that aren't of you, but are still cool, that would be great, too!).

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
Love EyeKandy! What four colors do you have? If you have any dark colors, be sure to use a dark (black) eyeliner and layer on your EyeKandy over that. You can combine colors (two or more) and come up with your own "signature" combo (use the back of your hand as a "palette" to mix). I have combined three colors which I wear now and then. I have seen some performers that put one color next to their lash line and line another color on top of that. Also, don't forget...you can use EyeKandy on your lips and nails as well.

Wow, I use Eye Kandy almost every time I perform! I never thought to use it on my lips and nails - great tip!

Thanks for the link. I never thought of highlighting tatoos with it.

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
We used Eye Kandy during our Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive. We lined all our eyes in a deep blue and one of us used it to highlight her tattoo, as well.

Here is a picture of Rom Deussen decorating a tattoo at the Vegas Intensive.

And here is another one of my daughter and her friend with their Eye Kandy embellishments:

It's getting so I never perform without it anymore. And they are not expensive either!

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
I want to do some cool Kandy this Halloween with my Blue Fairy costume... think it'll be too weird for work?

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
If everyone at work is dressing up for Halloween, then No, it's not too weird. I put it on for work when it's Halloween (my department has to be in costume and I "strongly recommend" other departments to dress up as well-we have a costume contest) and maybe around Christmas and New Year's Eve when we are having "special events."

I've worn black bart and chocolate chip to work... they're not so obvious. I also have an orange and green that I wear on college football gamedays...

Basia: I have Honey Drop, Double Bubble, Pixie Stick, and Candy Apple.
Anjela: I was wondering if you could highlight tattoos with it - I think I'll try playing around with it on my henna - that could be fun!
KelsNasim: I can't wait to see your koala's coin belt - you'll have to show me!Last edited by luvnafctn; 09-25-2009 at 11:48 PM.

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
slightly OT- I love using Eye Kandy, but we are in such a dry, static-y environment where I live, it inevitably ends up making a huge mess all over the place the second the jar is opened- is there some secret to containing this stuff???

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
Maybe you're doing this already, but if not, gently tap the top of the color pod a few times before opening it-that distributes and settles the glitter sprinkles.
And Luvnafctn...if you grabbed a brochure, there are some additional ideas too! P.S. Yes!...the Pixie Stick and Candy Apple at Hiptastic!-delicious colors!

Re: Inspire me with your Kandy!
Lara - hmmm...another possibility to your predicament...another dancer told me that she puts a sheet (i.e. typing paper) underneath the pod, so when she opens it up and some sprinkles let out, she just "funnels" back in the pod what's on the paper.
