Thread: A'Kai Silks fan veils photos finally..now these will be colorful

I suppose i can do two tone but these look really neat with the multi colors
I purchased the LARGE mulan fans from Meleea at beledi boutique..she has many colors. Please tell her Jes sent you.

This set is Sunrise Merkaba..I like dyeing the ends so they match up or complement the color of the fan fabric..according to Meleea the staves and fan fabric can be dyed as well but I have not attempted this. I loved the sunny gold color of these fans so used them with this set..the gold will also go well with fire veils, gold merkaba, wine merkaba..etc. Her pink fans go well with Bird of Paradise.

I was in a hurry and this is my own set so I just super glued the silk on to the staves.

They are a BIATCH to handle in the wind. Not recommended! LOL. The wind just about took me up in the air and I almost parasailed to Molokai.

These are the standard length of course I can make them longer, but I am a newb to these and do like this length. They flow like magic.

I will be keeping them affordable!!!! If Jes can superglue silk to staves, so can you!! it saves us both a lot of cost and I don't have to stock different color staves which makes life in my tiny ninth floor condo much easier. Ask Meleea about her color selection

There might be a few sets left in the etsy store but i haven't been over there in a couple of days so not sure..will have more shortly. I'm using a chunk of change to buy more silk.

not photo'd yet but the fire veils are INSANE

I like that the fans from Meleea are LARGE that really helps to support the 36 inch wide silk fabric..smaller fans i think might have too much silk overhang

am looking for even larger fans to add a 45 inch piece of silk to for SINGLE fan veil dance

Ooooooh, Merkaba has always been one of my favorites. I still have the 1/2 circs I bought when you were in SF. So if I buy the silks from you on Etsy, do you just open up the fan and use super glue -- it's that easy? Promise, LOL? I have a difficult and messy history with almost any kind of glue ........ Hmmmm, do you think the "angel" rectangles would work? The ones with the painted roses? I'm thinking those would be spectacular. I've got all the colors--that would be a great idea for the troupe!!!!!

those flower veils are 45in across so you will have some overhang.

i can't promise you wont glue the fan to the carpet like i did but i did manage to make a pretty new toy..up close might not be perfectly lined up but they work for dance and photos :)
