Fugraonics of Egypt
Normally, I like Pharaonics, but am I the only person looking at this and thinking the first combination is icky? It looks like a regular bra!

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
I think Dahlal calls this "Elegant Illusions" https://www.dahlal.com/default.aspx?...gant+illusions and it's actually a great costume. I had it in hot pink. (Ended up selling because the belt was too big.) I never wore it with the tan bra and the mesh top, but I liked having the option. However, I would have covered the nude bra to match the hot pink since I'm not a fan of looking "nude".
I think the blue color of that one is really pretty. Here's a link to see the full costume - " Belly Dance Store.com: Pharaonics of Egypt (7341)".

I really like that, too. But I think I also would have put something on the nude bra.

I don't like the first pic, but I do like the color and versions with the blue bra.

I like the second picture. I don't like the ugly design on the nude netting.

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
I kind of like the idea, but.... probably not the nude bra. And I wish the sequinned patterns over the mesh top were more... delicate.

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
I had it in purple. I thought the idea of the body was nice but the comments I got made me feel indeed "nude" and I swapped it. I felt a lot more exposed than I thought I would. I would have been happy with I think it is up for sale. The skirt and belt is lovely and with the bra combination it's a great outfit. But it is one you either like or don't and you have to feel comfortable in it ( which I didn't!)

I didn't care for the look in the first photo in this thread. But the photos on Dahals site looked really nice, and it looks nice in lizajuks photo, too.

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
The back beading of the body stocking is quite delicate, I wish the front design didnt look like a Georgia O'Keef vajayjay. I thought about purchasing this style and taking out all the sequins and rebeading a design that matches the back over the cup areas and making the design dense enough to look naked instead of here is my bra...
Its like the designer had the beaders start at the back and she decided that that pattern was far too labor intensive. "You took how long? Oh, just put a big oval on the front!"

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
I had this costume minus the bodystocking/nude bra and it was gorgeous. The fuchsia bra, skirt, hip wrap and accessories were very nice -- great color and shine, nice tone-on-tone beadwork with big AB rhinestones, and a flattering cut reminiscent of the 1940s. I've thought about custom-ordering just that configuration (no bodystocking) in this blue. I think it would be fab.
The bodystocking-over-bra idea is OK by me, but I don't like seeing the nude bra on this one. Either the bra should match the skirt or the beading should be as Anala describes it. I'd love to see someone do that!

I like the orange one a lot, too. Notice Dahlal does not show the nude-bra option from the front.

Yes, I noticed that - and I would be mad as a wet hen when I got it from the vendor, if it was me - and my fundage! Some nice hot fix colored crystals on the bra could work to, as they would slide behind the mesh.

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
This thread is having the opposite of the effect intended, I think. I'm now wishing I had bought Liz's purple from NikkiRaqs and commissioned Anala to redo the beadwork.

I think the purple is still for sale and still pretty as ever, in case anyone's tempted:

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
Eman has a somewhat similar idea only instead of it being nude mesh over a nude bra, she uses black mesh over a black bra. It's very elegant and classy. I've been wanting one forever. Somehow, it being black instead of nude makes all the difference to me. I also like Eman's beadwork on the mesh better than the Pharonics.

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
Well, you wouldn't have to redo the beadwork right away. The purple pieces would be great with just a plain fishnet bodystocking and sleeves. If I weren't broke and the bra would fit....

Enabler Alert!
I take solace in the fact that it is 2-3 inches too short for me. ,r:; I still like the costume, even with the vajayjay. However, I would probably cover the nude bra with a fabric to match skirt because it does look a little off balance and I am all about balance!

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
Hoping to earn my Master Enabler stars here! The skirt can easily be lengthened a few inches from the top because it's hidden under the hip wrap. Just sayin'.

(Still feeling guilty about the Teal Venus situation, trying to make up for it. xoxo)

Re: Fugraonics of Egypt
I wonder if the body suit mesh could be cut off at the hips, turned around backward and reattached to a pair of dance shorts?
