water themed costumes - any inspirations?

I'm dreaming of a water themed costume... in the past I've seen a lot of pics, but now I can't find them anymore.
In my head there is a costume in different shades of blue (maybe green too), lots of chiffon and maybe ruffles.... do you have any ideas or pics?

    thank you

I am making one at the moment. Using blue/turquoise shot taffeta and decorating with pearls, blue crystals and shells. The armbands that go with are chiffon with long traily bits like seaweed.

how about tye-died silk? That would be flowy like water. You could play with the shades of blue, turquoise, aqua and teal. That would be really pretty.

i would do maybe three layers of very filmy silk chiffon skirts of varying lengths and angles and tones of blue. that is the water costume i am envisioning. also a super long silk chiffon veil that should be narrower than usual and about five yards long. that's the way i see it and have seen a water costume since i was twelve. i have yet to bring it to fruition.

and if you were going for the more literal version of water costume, then just do what alla kushnir did!!! but try to include a water bra...just to keep with the theme...l;,..l;,..l;,

I was thinking of water when I made this. It's several shades of blue and turquoise with some violet. The skirt is about a hundred strips of wavy silk chiffon. The bedlah is "encrusted" with jewels like a shipwreck covered with barnacles.
