Has anyone ordered wigs from this vendor?

I'm looking at purchasing a 3/4 wig from this ebay vendor, as they look pretty nice, and aren't too terribly expensive. Has anyone had good or bad experiences to share?

eBay Store - discount wigs: cheap wigs, human hair wig, stylewigs wig

    Thanks so much!

    Hi there:)

These look like "New Look","Mona Lisa" and "Forever Young"wigs(lower end brands)-do you know your color matches?

I don't know what my color matches are- I've never purchased a wig before. Would you consider these good "starter" wigs?

I've been looking at this vendor, too. I have a friend who has purchased wigs on ebay that are synthetic, and yet very soft and silky, much more human hair-like than the cheapos I have. I'm wondering if this is the same quality.

I don't know this vendor specifically, but I wanted to mention that my last couple of wigs have been from "Forever Young," and I've been very happy with the quality, especially for the price. (In fact I went a little crazy buying them so have a couple of unused extras! Let me know if you're looking for a nice brown/blonde mix in "Picture Perfect" or "Edge Savvy.") The Kankelon synthetic fibers have a more natural look and feel than other types I've tried, and they come in a great range of colors. The only trouble is that I hear Rod Stewart in my head whenever I shop the brand, but I suppose that can't be helped.

I've had very good experiences with the eBay vendor "thebeautystop" a.k.a. "ASAP Hair Makeover." The store is well organized and easy to use, the photographs and descriptions are clear and accurate, and customer service person Kim is great about answering questions. Elsewhere on the Internet, Wilshire Wigs is a reliable store with a generous price-matching policy.

So it's the Kankelon fiber that we're looking for? That really helps.

The hairpieces I've been using are $20 pony clips from a local store called Sam Moon - plus one that my mum-in-law paid about $60 for several years ago. I'm pretty disappointed that the $60 piece seems no better than the $20 pieces, so I'm looking for something better.

    Hi,
I haven't bought from stylewigs, however based on a review of their products and descriptions, I think these are pretty good quality products.

Since you haven't bought wigs before, I suggest going to a local wig store and look at some wigs. Note the color numbers to see what looks close to your hair color. It will vary a little among brands, but you'll get a better idea. Shades are sometimes hard to tell from computer screens.

While you are at the store, I recommend trying wigs on too if you can, since they are like clothes: it looks nice on the mannequin, however the style may look very different on you. Usually the store will ask that you buy a wig cap ($1) to put over your head before they let you try on wigs.

BTW, I have three gently used wigs on the swap meet page, in case you are interested. These are good quality wigs, not the cheapo halloween costume wig types.

Okay, here's what I did... I went to a local wig store, and picked up a cheapy 3/4 for $19.99. Actually, it looks pretty cute. I decided to wear it to class tonight, and everybody thought it looked cute. So I'm going to use it as a starter wig, and go from there. I will definately say that it makes me feel alot more glamorous with this long curly hair.
The other thing that was kinda cool was that the store was totally ghetto-fab, and they had TONS of crazy hair ornamentation and jewelry for 99 cents! It was awesome - I got a fully sequined covered wide head band, like 6 huge flowers with feathers and sequins, and 3 pairs of supercute earrings. It was really a fun experience!

Thank you all for your input - I am officially now addicted to the recreational hair! :)

I buy Forever Young wigs from Wigs-US.com. Excellent prices and they have great photos on their site showing many colors in natural light from different angles. Forever Young wigs are lightweight and have a natural feel. You can't beat $35-40 for a beautiful wig.

I absolutely love my Forever Young wig, was cheaper than a haircut and does not look or feel like a wig.

I've used clip-ins, but never tried a full wig. How do you secure a full wig for dancing?

I sewed in some toupee clips and then bobby pin the heck of out it. Then by the time I add the headband or sparkly barrettes that thing isn't going anywhere.
