Thread: Cheap sparkly headbands! And fabric question...

I just picked up a shiny silver/soft fabric headband from Goody at Walmart. It's soft and stretchy, and only the tiniest bit scratchy - it's like a metallic "slinky" fabric, and the metallic is dominant and seems knitted in, not painted or printed-on. They also had gold headbands, and black sparkly ones. This would be a great basic to have in your dance bag.

The fabric on these is really nice, and VERY silvery. I think it would make a great mermaid skirt, although the stretch seems to be only 2-way (not 4). Has anyone seen similar fabric online?

I use wide stretch sequin from Joanns for costume headbands. I think its about 3 " wide, cheap, many colors.

I've used it for group costumes, but I like the softer texture of this stuff better. I'd love to find a yardage source!
