Thread for fringe? Do I need nylon?

Hi, I want to make fringe, not hanging down fringe but that hangs in a bow and is connected at both ends. Now it might be a little heavy for I mean to use some bigger pearls, and I worry about the edges of the holes in the pearls rubbing of the thread, so I wonder do I have to use nylon thread? Which I find uncomfortable to sew...could you share experiences?

i've also used heavy duty silk thread. it's a little expensive but it is pliable and pretty durable. i would recommend this thread for loops as well.

Is that something like you use between your teeth? Which is pretty durable but not expensive ..l;,

You know the way sometimes big pearls have uneven borders of the holes, so that might cause friction with the thread...

I've used upholstery thread and regular heavy thread for stringing beads and haven't had any come apart yet. You may (should) double up the thickness on the thread. Check it from time to time to make sure it's not freying when you wear it and reinforce when necessary.
