Thread: Akai Silks - autumn colours, so beautiful!

Hi everybody!

I googled Akai silks in "google image" because I like to dream of what I will be buying once I am on a REAL job (goodbye starving student life..), hopefully early next year ,r:;

I don't know if it was coincidence, but I had the impression sooo many nice autumn like colours popped up.

I have no idea if they are available, I did not search the Akai silks site, but, as I said, just googled because that's the faster way most of the time.

My all time favorite has got to be the first of the three!

I'm still glad I googled - somehow the colours I found do not seem to be on the site. maybe they were custom-made?

I was considering revising the gallery to display colors by season but there are a lot of veils that are crossovers. I tend to try to sell more of the autumn colors like burgundy, rust, gold, reds, purples, teals, etc in fall / winter and have the lighter tropical turquoise, pinks, corals, greens, etc available for spring and summer.

It's funny living in Hawaii I am surrounded by ocean colors all the time..but when I got back to the desert and saw the colors here, my palette immediately switched and I've been consumed lately with dark plums, black/blue, deep greens, coppers, chocolate, dark reds, fires etc. One of my friends referred to me as a chameleon who takes on the color of the environment..it's very true, I love travelling or going to new places.

I'm dyeing a lot of autumns right now, most of them never reach the etsy store but between balancing nurse requirements and hanging with the boys, I hope to list more autumns soon :) HAHA by then it will be winter :)

could always be for next indian summer or autumn.. maybe I will be more solvent then, and gladly take some bronze, plum, wine, dark green etc etc off your hands!

lol, you got it..I finally got outside today with my new primitive set up..it's slow going but I managed to go thru a whole bolt of silk in under two hours. Some should be drying tomorrow..most are spoken for but there should be a few left over ones that will be listed
