How to add padding to a bra
I have an amazing Tribaret Bedlah. The belt fits perfectly, but the bra is slightly to big . . . I think anyway. The cups. When I stand up straight, I fill the cups up pretty good, but if I bend over or slouch at all, it gapes and is almost indecent. .w.:
Soooo . . . does this sound like a case where I would need to add some padding? The cups are really stiff. How does one go about adding padding to the cups of a bra that is just slightly too big?

Re: How to add padding to a bra
I always add the padding to the bottom-outer curve of the cups.
This pushes the girls up and together for a bit more cleavage.
psst - old shoulder pads work wonders! Folding them in half adds extra omph.

Rip up the lining and stuff (add pads) until it looks good and then close it up again.

Re: How to add padding to a bra
Zepora, I used the pads I purchased at JoAnne's. I know some people have good luck just using batting. If you want, I'll tear up the lining of my bra and take a picture. I need to readjust the padding anyway...I tightened the band...and now I look like a playboy bunny.

Re: How to add padding to a bra
Just what I was going to say but I will add there is always a soft edge where you can add some fitting tucks. Fitting tucks are made by using some button thread doubled and sewn along the edge of the top of the cup (or belt) along the gaping edge. You simply run a basting stitch along where you want to adjust and pull it tight untill the gap closes. Some times it is necessary to place these tucks in several areas. On a bra you would place the tucks just under the arms and along the top of the cup. Along w/ this adjust the straps placement in the front to tip the cup inward or outward and the rear to keep the straps from falling off the shoulder and provide better support
