Nile Flower on BellyDanceStore?
I am finding myself performing a lot more often (yay!) and I could use a couple more costume in my rotation. I'm thinking about a Nile Flower on bellydancestore.biz , but was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? It's one of their affordable line, but it's more than the Desert Swirls- these go for $245. Anyone have one? Do you like it? How's the quality of the fabric? Does the stitching hold up? Is the bra supportive? (I'm a D, so my girls need a good home.)
This is the one I'm thinking about...

I don't have a Nile Flower, but I have a Desert Swirl. I haven't had any problems with it so far, but I've only had it for about 2 months. But as far as buying from them, I had an awesome experience and will buy from them again,r:;.

I'm an intermediate dancer seriously considering this one for my recital in May. I'm mostly worried about support in the bra. Has anyone bought one of these yet, especially if you have a large cup size? What's your experience?

Oh, wow! Love that blue.
I believe these are possibly the same manufacturer as the desert swirls, but I'm not positive. From memory- they are a step above in quality- more beadwork etc. and this is reflected in the price.
Ahanit, I'm pretty sure the beautiful model in the top photo is a DD- and you can see on her there is a lot of side support and the cups have some height to them. :D

I like it. It's very beautiful and a decent price. I also actually like the desert swirls to. They look great on stage. They are also very elegant looking in their simplicity.
The blue is just gorgeous.

I've been debating one too. I mean, why do I REALLY need a Pharaonics? Now that I have a kid, I don't see dancing 2x a week in my future.
I also like the Snakecharmer costume.

I really like the Snakecharmer with that center belt medallion worn to the side. The black and silver picture has it worn that way.

That Snake Charmer is cute! I'm starting to lean heavily towards getting a Nile Flower. I am just utterly paranoid about fit now!

I think bellydancestore.biz has a good return policy.
Bellydancestore.biz has REAlLy changed the landscape of costume buying! Before we only had Audrena and Dahlal. I love that BDS lets you search for your cup-size. It may not be as pretty as Dahlal and Audrena, but it definitely makes it easier to find the costume you want.

Yup. I might just go ahead and get that purple-pink-ish one soon! I still want to try your L. Rose bra on, though. I might get BOTH, when my tax refund comes in!

Re: Nile Flower on BellyDanceStore?
Mine arrived today! I'm so excited, and can't wait to try it on when I get home from work and have taken a shower. At first squeeing glance:
* It is very heavy! Wow! The weight of the beads and sequins is pretty significant.
* The bra cups appear to be the right size for me at first look. They are quite stiff, so I'm not worried in the slightest about looking saggy in it.
* It comes with a headband! For some reason, I don't remember seeing that in the pictures or description. But...there it is!
* The "liner" they mention for the skirt? I thought it would be a piece of serged chiffon that I could tack or fully sew in place to cover the slit. Nope, it's a full chiffon skirt with a piece of plastic filament sewn all along the hem. Cool!
So really, I'm getting a 4-piece costume for my money, here. And up close and personal, the design looks just gorgeous!
Did I mention I cannot WAIT to get home and try this thing on? ..g.:
I'm about 99.999% sure I'm going to have to add another hook to the band of the bra to make it smaller, but that's not a big deal (provided I can find the right kind). In the meantime, anyone have good ideas about how to try it on? It's kind of hard to get a good idea of how it looks, feels, and moves for dance if I'm holding the bra tight with one hand behind my back, and I'm afraid to pin it tighter with a safety pin for fear they might not take it back if I'm not happy with it.

Re: Nile Flower on BellyDanceStore?
I tried mine on with a clip that i use to hold papers together. I don't know the name of them, but they are black and silver and super strong they have two handles that you flip over either to open the clamp, or fold down to sit flat against the papers. Used like an super crazy strong paper clip. I may have been more confusing that helpful...

Ah, a binder clip! No, that's not at all confusing, I know just what you mean! I'll bring one home from work. Great idea, thanks!
