Thread: What's going on with our pregnant dancers?

I'd love to hear updates about how they are all doing..weren't several due about now? ..g.:

I'm not sure about the others but Oreet is "wearing" and "dancing" her pregnancy beautifully! She was absolutely radiant and as effervescent as ever during her Gala Show performance at the Belly Dance Nationals.

I saw! She's beautiful (Michelle AND the baby )

I have no idea how these things work but Oreet appeared to be in the earlier part of her last trimester. It was fabulous. The last pregnant dancer I saw with this much energy and articulation was Z-Helene of Texas back in the early '90s; she looked like she was gonna give birth that day!

I'm expecting now tooo!!!, but I'm soooo sick all the time. I can't do much but lay around.

It might be some time yet, but I always smile when I think of DancingLale(sp?) in the UK who bought the Tony-the-Tiger tiger stripe top/miniskirt set from me :)) Hope she'll update us soon!
Also, Keti Sharif had her daughter Serafina a few months ago (5, I think:)).
Isn't the author of "The Bellydancer" also expecting? Oh(!), and Dina "blessed" bhuzzer Atareen's baby bump a couple of weekends ago at the Chicago Little Egypt event Hehehe:)) It's all so Exciting!!!

here are the photos of Amar Gamal and her belly :))

I'm officially in my 'safe' zone time wise- due in 2.5 weeks- & I'm finally feeling well enough to get out & do things again- performed at a workshop at 30 weeks & it was definitely my last big outing of the pregnancy! nothing major, just strained muscles & fatigue, not worried about preterm labor, but I will be very glad to have that baby out here soon! If I could just figure out how to get my performance from the DVD to youtube...

Hah, I saw Z-Helene dance back then, too - I had JUST started taking lessons with her! Which performance did you see?

That's so awesome, TamraHenna! She performed in Scottsdale, AZ at one of Bionika's (anyone else knew Bionika?) fundraisers in...I want to say '93 or '94.

Must've been late '92 - she was preggers with Elena when I started classes with her (at least if memory serves me correctly). I saw her in Austin at the Mirage show at the UT Student Union. They still have a show there!

I had my handsome boy on the 15th. He was 9lbs 15oz (yes, a 10lb baby!!!), 20inches. He's sweet as apple pie too. ,r:;

Congrats to all the new mommies and mommies-to-be, and my sympathies to those of you going through "morning" (aka all day, every day) sickness! Malia, you must post pics!

I know that Zobieda had her little Junior and he is a healthy and beautiful baby boy. She also had a record breaking super short labor so she's one lucky mommy!
