Thread: Long lasting mascara

About halfway through the day at BDNC I had to wipe off the mascara that had flaked off. I didn't think of it again, and when I got back to the hotel room I looked like a cross between a scary woman and a raccoon. :( I had used a sample from Clinique, and it really doesn't have the staying power. That was an extreme situation, but it doesn't do well on average either. What do you use that lasts and doesn't escessively flake?

I swear by the cheap drug store Maybelline Waterproof mascara. It stays put 'till I take it off.

I use Lancome. The regular one, not waterproof, which doesn't make such a good effect on lashes.

Fiberwig or Kiss Me.

I was a HUGE fiberwig fan, but now I've discovered L'Oreal Double Extend.

It's a 'tube' mascara - creates tubes around your lashes. You put on the white stuff, then coat it with the black stuff.

It lengthens like mad and stays on like the dickens. The only way to get it off is with WARM water and a gentle 'pulling' motion that removes the little tubes. Then it comes off easily (though the little tubey thingies are annoying to get off your face)

I'm embarrassed to report that during a recent crazed weekend I ended up wearing the same mascara application for 3 days, just washing my face around my lashes with a cloth. Still looked great on Day 3!!!

I've been using this, too. It really makes your lashes look longer and it stays until you take it off.

I also love Dior "Show" mascara. I like the Mac as well.

Mascaras smudge on my like crazy. I've had great luck with Lash Blast (in the orange tube). For shows I use MAC waterproof.

I got some Fiberwig for xmas, and I love it. No more crack ho panda look for me!

NOT the carbon black shade. I found it at Target and got excited, but it's smudging on me like crazy
